Find a plan that fits you. I don't eliminate or drastically reduce anything. Just moderation.

What about people who drink? I would think that should be a health risk factor. Drinking is socially acceptable. Smoking and being heavy are not. Drinking is just as dangerous and is mind altering, which can cause harm to others.

My employer already does. There are three levels of premiums. If you do none of the testing or exams you pay the most. If you do all of it you get the middle premium, however you have to do a program to improve any measure that you failed to stay at the middle. To get the cheapest you have to sign that you do avoid all…

My co-workers are all highly educated people. Yet if I were to share this post I would have to define, dungarees, parlor, davenport, icebox and probably wake. But carry on, I am enjoying the terminology  It is the only time that I am smarter than the rest of my staff, lol.

Oh gosh, I feel your pain except it was my mother- in-law. Honestly it is hard for two households to live in one. I hate to say it especially women. Sounds like not having things in order does not bother her and it probably never will. Some people do perfectly fine with it. I would make a chore list of who needs to be…

When I was 265 every doctor I went to indicated that I needed to lose weight, my comorbidities were many. I am not sure I would want a doctor that did not address that. Mine still does after he sees the number because my BMI is never where it should be. Our company requires certain metrics to earn cheaper insurance…

Go by how you are feeling, not what other people say.

Set a small goal, reach it, set another. Along with a weight loss goal, set attainable lifestyle change goals. Like starting tomorrow I will park as far as I can from the store, my office, wherever. And I will not have dessert/sweet treat more than twice a week. Once you master those, add new lifestyle goals. It has to be…

I do when I clean/organize for other people (which is one of the side jobs I picked up) and if I do something out of the ordinary like walls or other heavy cleaning that does increase my heart rate and cause me to sweat.

Most Crossfit Boxes have free trials. Check and see if they do. The one I go to we had a free trial and then three fundamental classes. We paid for the classes and then if we joined the classes were taken off the first month. It is over three times what I was paying at a regular gym but I got more results in a month than I…

A friend of mine cleaned out her closet and gave me some smaller clothes. I also shopped in thrift and discount stores. Don't spend big money until you are on maintenance.

Some are handicapped too, not lazy, but unable to work. We, as a society, are quick to judge that anyone on assistance chooses to be on assistance as a way of getting out of work. It is not always the case. Is it ever...YES, but you can't lump everyone in the same category.
