Feel free to add me. I am 49 I have no idea what my goal weight is. More just trying to be healthier with a side effect of weight loss. I was 265 at one time, I am in the 190's now.

Pot roast made in a crock pot. Put in meat seasonings and whatever veggies you want and go to work. Come home to a full meal.

Hi. Seeing what you eat in black and white and making plans for exercise/fitness are good motivators. Good luck.

Monday through Friday, always. Saturday and Sunday depend no what time I get up and what is going on.

Arrow, Gotham, Pretty Little Liars. Okay outrageously plotted television series.

The next day you have a couple of hours do meal prep for a couple days. Chop some fruit and veggies. Bag up some nuts for healthy snacks. make up some salads or meals that you can divide. Get back into the good healthy food, take your time and pick things you really enjoy. if you like pineapple cut one up and put it in…

Just ask another lifter to watch your form. Have them tell you if they see anything that needs corrected. I shoot bow and once in a while I have my husband watch me shoot because I tend to go back to old habits and not see it myself.

Incredible results. Great job.

Just getting back into it after a 3 year hiatus. Not looking to build, just done and some definition.

Is this just an exercise forum? Or is it a support., tracking and accountability tool for diet/nutrition and exercise/activity? Some people need help with both. There is a lot of information out there, most of the time it conflicts with what you just heard.

Is it okay? Heck yea. Your post also says you are uncomfortable with your arms. If you are, you may not feel comfortable in a tank top. Try one on look in the mirror, if you feel comfortable, rock it.

Typically I only eat out at work once every two weeks (payday basically). My husband and I may eat out twice a month on a regular basis. IF we are on vacation or other factors are involved may be more. I like to cook so that I have left overs to take for my lunch and two days a week my husband isn't home for dinner,…

Nope. He got excited about the whole thing twice. Started going with me but both times faded fast. He has so many other interests and hobbies that our schedules would hardly come together. and now we work 45 minutes in opposite directions from home. Like @punkrockgoth we do go for walks, biking or shoot archery together.…

More than likely the instructor would be able to tell you which category your program best fits. It is probably aerobics or yoga, something of that nature.

Oh I fell you on this one. I have already taken several walks equaling 5990 steps so far today. The rest of the staff is salaried so most of them are gone. I have another two hours. BTW I always wanted a dogwood tattoo. I will get it some day.

Typically you should not say anything until you have another job. Most of the time if it is the same company human resources would be contacting your supervisor for reference anyway. However if you are looking outside your company, keep that to yourself. If you do not get it you could end up being treated differently or…

Unfortunately in the US where government pays over half the cost of healthcare it's all taxpayers problem.. The government does not pay any of my healthcare. Wow, you have to be accepting of who you are to embrace and love who you are. I am an example of being plus sized and healthy. Personally if I was not confident in…

a healthy weight loss goal is half a pound to a pound a week. The loss is easier to sustain. I kind of watch what the calories say on here but I am striving to make healthier, more nutritious choices and if I get hungry I eat.

I did Olympic weight lifting for almost two years. I was 44 or so at the time (now 49). Our instructor worked more on form and technique than we did on how much we could lift. I cannot remember what amount I used to deadlift. I used 125 to squat but we never tested to see 'how much' I could squat. I can leg press twice my…

I do.

Yes, I have started to eat more whole grain high fiber breads and crackers. But other than that not much change except a smaller amount.

Not if metrics like bp, a1C, cholesterol and triglycerides are at healthy levels. I will probably never be a 25 or lower bmi. Because of that I do pay higher insurance than others. Here is the funny part, they may have a lower bmi but I eat healthier, workout, walk and am generally much more active than they are.

By the world's standards I am obese. I can physically outwork anyone half my age. My blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and a1c are amazing. I will never nor do I want to be the weight that society and bmi charts say I should be. I want to be healthy, strong and happy. I have never been below a ladies size 12. I am…

I used to find them motivating until it was revealed that most of them gain it all back and sometimes more. Losing that much weight in that amount of time is not sustainable. It is not physically healthy and it cannot do much good for your psyche when you can't keep the results. I have seen the one where the man works with…
