(Sorry it cut off the other part!) Even if you're not able to start addressing the eating exactly right now while you are busy creating a new human being, you can still do other stuff if you feel like you want to keep the momentum. You are going to create positive changes in your life for your beautiful body (that gives…

Hi Katie! You have a lot going on in the next few weeks, and I just want to send you some good vibes ⚘

Due to my lifestyle, i eat out a lot. It's hard to keep on track, but I'm learning. Today I ate out for 2 meals, did not feel deprived and still came in under calories. I am getting better at this!!

I eat some, but probably 50 to 60 percent usually. I think the estimate is too high of calories burned, I don't count stuff like gum or vitamins, and it gives me wiggle room until I have a smaller daily calorie goal. Once my daily calories are down further I'll be more experienced in knowing how many calories to eat back,…

Also, Justice League looks awesome even though it's not coming until 2018 or so. I really want to see Aquaman!

Guardians of the Galaxy, Wonder Woman, Thor. Unless I win the lotto and finance Hellboy 3 I'll have to be satisfied with these ones. TV is all American Gods all the time. I'm not into GoT, but AG is making me want to get Starz by April 30th.

Yeah, I know this is a stretch, but I'm looking for people who really want to/need to use MFP to track but who also might like some of the crap I do: BBC (non-Who), SciFi/Fantasy, Audio Books, Baseball, Basketball, Marvel/DC, Productivity (David Allen style). Specific things I have loved: Hellboy, Dresden (read by James…

Because today I'm working on a nativity set made from Babylon 5 action figures.

For me, it's anything that is just for me and something that is outside of routine maintenance. Because I am high maintenance, the rewards then must be outside of even what I might do, or they are experiential rewards. Recently I've become a member of the art museum and the Chinese garden. Both great options for exercise…

Talcum powder was associated with ovarian cancer when repeatedly applied to the exterior of the V. Make sure you wash, carefully dry, then apply the gold bond or other powder. Gold bond is medicated but things like shower to shower are just scented talcum powder. Because its warm & moist area will become a huge problem for…

I think you might have to friend a willing person and then they can actually access it.

@anna4anna (I want to preface this with an explanation: in person, the way I talk is somewhat less abrasive. I know you can't hear my tone of voice or hear sarcasm, and I don't want you to think I am horrible! However, I am a high drive, high energy, aggressive woman. What I say may be super unhelpful to you if: your…

I, of course, will pop in with political view of this situation. When one person is the heavier, the smaller one has certain privileges. Like being an authority or is given deference because they are "the more ideal". A shift in power or position is often (even if only subconsciously) unwelcome. If the roles have flipped…

I can't help you with the weight loss, but I can try on the positivity. I know it sucks right now, but you seem like you are setting up all these positive habits that are pretty good for you. You seem mindful, committed and willing. You are logging and methodical. All excellent. The fact that your body is holding on for…

If I thought you needed advice on losing weight I would have skipped this one. But imho, I think you are probably run the f down and you need to relax. If you are working two jobs and always on the run, any time you have is probably spent calming down and getting ready to go again. How about a compromise: take a little…

I'm getting back to the pool (I was formerly a daily swimmer for more than a year) and I'm using music to help motivate me to go, to increase intensity, and to decrease intensity. I have a playlist for the active part of my trip (the drive there and laps) then another for the cool down shower, trip to sauna and final…

If you do try swimming, grab a plastic book (they have them for kids) and try to hold your breath and read underwater. It disconnects you from the passage of time and helps you to increase the length of each breath being held.

Ok, update: I started going back to the gym. I'm a lap swimmer, and MFP says that 30 mins of side stroke for me would be in the 650 to 700 cal range. I don't want to do anything wrong because I have been having success pre workout, so I am trying to eat back 200 cal or so. That leaves room of 200 or so deficit and a…

Sometimes it's easier to switch drinks than to drink coffee a different way. I am changing my creamer ratio towards black coffee, but I'm getting into tea because I have no "preferred way" to drink it. Because It's all new, It's easier for me than drinking (what my brain feels is) sub par coffee. Good luck!

I have tried to find things that change how I feel for a little while. You're going to have feelings, but I like to postpone them until I can work them out at a less intense moment. So for me, I listen to music I love and just change my mood. I take a break from my feelings via my favorite empowering artists (Mary j blige,…

I vote NO on giving a crap what gym randos think, elderly or otherwise. I have enough friends. As long as you were polite, you get an A+ in people skills. Side note, my 93 year old uncle gets extremely angry at me when I refuse to open him a Snickers to "share" with my Chihuahua. So who knows?

From Ray Allen's Obsession With Greatness on Youtube. "Obssessive. That's what makes great Great. One of the most interesting questions I get asked "What were you thinking during the shot in game 6?" I wish they would ask: How did you get prepared? How were you ready for that moment? How did you know that moment was gonna…

Blazers v Rockets now, trying to figure out MFP!

I was pulling out butter from the freezer and saw what 1 lb looks like. I tried to remind myself that even if I only lose a smaller amount this week, it's still *this* much less. So I now feel like there are no small victories at all. They're all great! Also, i am trying to just plug away at it like any other habit and…

My calorie goal is around 2050 a day. I set it to lose 2 lbs a week and put myself as sedentary because I decided to quit going to the gym for a while. Hope it helps!
