  • Well she's right, but you won't be very healthy! You might have problems on the toilet and you won't have any energy, you might get smelly breath (dunno...) and your eyes will dry up. Tell her that.
  • Why are you homebound? Unless you can't physically do so, take a walk. You might enjoy looking around the area you live. I walked 5km yesterday, the furthest I've walked in probably 12 months. I quite enjoyed it, it passed an hour away and it gave me some calories - which in the end I didn't even need, so more fat burned.
  • Are those raspberries real?? They're so red...
  • I'll have a go at this: I started 7th March so that's my March starting weight. Starting Weight - 210 March starting weight - 210 March goal - 204 Ultimate goal - 168 Total loss for march - Weigh day = Tuesday 07/03 = 210 14/03 = 21/03 = 28/03 =
  • What exercise did you do for your upper legs when you started out?
  • You know after I said this, someone on another forum gave me a link to a powder on Amazon, which proved to me that they're not all expensive. Although there are some dodgy powders on the market (UK), which is why I'm not keen to buy any. I'll see how I do with food and maybe revisit the idea if I struggle.
  • I reckon I shouldn't do them either. What do you do to workout your thighs?
  • I haven't set any of the nutrition goals, I assumed MFP would've set reasonable goals. Fat I'm not bothered about so much. I'm trying not to get too engrossed in all of the nutrients, because I know it'll drive me crazy and I'll end up going my own way. As you say, taste is important. I love food, I can't just eat healthy…
  • I hear you, but as I said it's only intensive to me because of how lazy I've become. It's a slow workout with good breaks between each circuit. Looking in, you'd wonder why I was going so slow! I probably popped an air bubble against a nerve or something...
  • Not if I poke and prod at it, but only when I do a lunge. It feels like there's pressure behind the knee cap.
  • I've just found that gammon rounds offer 20g protein per 100kcal, I didn't think they would be so healthy (excluding the salt...).
  • Diary is now open. There's not much to show yet, I only started Tuesday. Within the next few days I'm buying in better foods than I thought I'd need, so I can make better use of calories (sweetener instead of sugar, semi milk instead of full fat etc), so my meals will become better over time as I learn what satisfies me…
  • Thanks for the reply. My list was just of the top three with most protein per 100kcal that I'd found so far. Fat free greek yogurt gives about 13g of protein, I didn't know until today there was more protein than in full fat. Not sure if I'll prefer the taste but I need that protein. I know eggs are a good source of…
  • Not sure where you live but in the UK we only really have skipjack tuna (light in the US?) and our guidelines are 4 cans a week.
  • My daughter is at her mothers at weekends so I get two you-days. I spend my you-days going bored out of my mind. So today I went for a long walk (extreme for me!), ended up walking about 5km, got home, was feeling energetic so did half of my workout, rested, thought what the hell and finished it. So today I'm way under my…
  • The funny thing is, it doesn't hurt now except when I lunge. There's no swelling or anything so I'd be hard pressed to show anyone an injury. This hasn't happened to me for a long time, only when I used to cycle 8/9 years ago. After several days of no cycling, it'd be fine. I just don't want it to start up again just…
  • Thanks for replying Shannon. I'm big boned so 168 lbs is about as low as I'm going to get and I bet it'll be hard getting there. Let's have a race! To 168 lbs anyway...
