Thanks! It was both. I had found out in February of 2017 that I have pre diabetes and my blood sugar was way out of control causing my weight gain. I also had high blood pressure. Glad to say that I have way better control of my sugar and have avoided meds so far, as well as being able to completely go off my BP meds

My heaviest was on Feb 6, took me 6 weeks just to lose the first 5 lbs(I'm pre-diabetic which made it challenging) but I've now lost 26lbs

I feel like maybe I took longer than normal because I had uncontrolled pre diabetes for a while before knowing it. It took me about 5 to 6 weeks just to lose the first 5 lbs. You might try some meal replacement protein shakes and bars. I have some with as much as 30g of protien and actually taste good.

I can relate to single parenting. Been there once before. And heading back to it soon. It's a lot harder than people think. But it can be the most rewarding time of your life if you let it. ;)

4'11" SW: 148 CW: 142 GW: short term 138 (10lbs loss) by 4/19, long term 110 33yo SAHM of 3 with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. It's going to be a difficult, long journey for me but I have my 3 kids as motivation to get healthy and stay healthy!
