Check your thyroid function as well if you are logging for an extended period of time and counting calories right. As you age you need to check to make sure your thyroid is functioning properly.

Hi Leon from Austin. I am also starting tomorrow tracking everything in MFP until the end of March. I am also located in Austin and use LifeTime Fitness. Good Luck with your goals!

eggs are good because the protein absorption is very high. Just because it lists a certain amount of grams of protein does not mean your body will absorb all of it. Eggs absorb at a very high level and are great. I like non fat yogurt, tuna, and chicken for high protein items. I consider peanut butter high in fat not high…

Wine, cheese, italian food, pasta have been my thing lately. It used to be chicken wings and waffle fries. I guess my cravings are getting better as far as "at least its not deep fried"

Instead of focusing on 150 lbs. Make a list of goals and try to hit them. I want to lose 10 pounds, 25 pounds, 50 pounds, 75 pounds and 100 pounds. Once you lose 100 pounds I am sure you will have learned so much and 50 will seem so close to you. Don't be scared of the journey ahead, be excited you are starting now AND NOT…

When I went to community college the gym membership was included in tuition. Do you have a gym there? I would get used to using the lockers and exercise there before class or after when the traffic is bad. You should try to talk to whoever knows about the gym hours etc., and see if you could use the lockers. I am use they…

I deited for 22 weeks and lost 37 pounds last year. I regained like 20 pounds and trying to lose like 10 right now. I did gain some muscle, but made excuses like I HAVE TO BULK. After 22 weeks Thanksgiving/Christmas/New years came, and my set diet went out the window and I ate cookies, chocolates all at the office. I went…

For me the highlight of my day is going to the gym. It is almost like going to church. I had tried so many times to get in there, but I couldn't really get motivated. Try getting into a routine of going at similar times at your particular gym. Get some good music going, and escape from LIFE. You have to find enjoyment in…

toast with peanut butter wouldn't be bad. Just make sure you use a low calorie wheat bread (60-70kcal) and 1 table of peanut butter (2 tbls would be way to much...)

When I am not dieting....I wont list what I eat because thats where I mess up - you have to be able to balance. For me that is hard so I try to stay on my diet as much as possible because I can eat 6K+ calories a day and not notice. I have to stay on top of myself.

In the beginning focus on finding vegetables and things that are healthy that are easy to make/fast to cook that you enjoy eating. Could you eat steamed brocolli a majority of days? Maybe roasted cauliflower. You will have to have some routine in a good diet in the beginning then you can start experimenting with throwing…

Keep logging your meals and if you can make a meal plan for the next day with what you ate today, and begin substituting healthier choices. you need to figure out yoru calorie intake per your activity level (training or non training days). You should know the macros you are trying to hit protein/carb/fat percentages. I…

To hit higher protein levels without spending a fortune at the grocery store I would use a pre and post Iso-whey protein shake. That alone will hit you 50 grams of protein. You can buy a casein protein to take before dinner if you are calculating your protein for the day and running low. THat will digest while you sleep…

Its really good I buy it already prepared from the Central Market here in town sometimes. I don't know how to prepare it, but they make it in the food court and it is awesome.

The chocolate chip cookie dough is the best one I have tried. Try microwaving it for 5-10 seconds to warm it up it will be softer.

Why are you eating 1200 calories a day? Are you under 5'1? or very low weight already?
