Hello and welcome to the community!

Mint mouthwash. :D

I'm not offended at all! It's great that you're searching for answers. Again, there's different opinions on this, but I'll try to explain. You definitely can achieve your goals, because we're each given a choice. God gives us our bodies, we choose what to do with them (to a point). Obviously, there are some things out of…

I know there's a lot of different answers out there from a lot of different people, but here's how I see it: Why do we need God to lead us? Because without Him, we wouldn't have a body in the first place! No one knows the human body better than God. He's the one who designed it! Our body is a temporary gift, and that's an…

I'm trying to perfect the art of oatmeal making. I've been called "the oatmeal artist" more than once. :p

I'm finally starting to feel a little stronger! There was a 5k going on that I wanted to run SO BAD, but I knew that if I signed up I'd try to race it, which I can't do yet - doctor's orders. https://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wohsRCl/exercise.png

I get it! I'm very protective of my food. Especially my stash of dried bananas.

Running, hiking, and taekwondo. Running is my "go-to," but I never pass up an opportunity to go on a hike!
-
Anyone else crazy about oatmeal, peanut butter, bananas, and coffee?

I don't have any tattoos (yet!), but I sketched this to go on my right calf.

Hey! I'm an active runner/outdoor enthusiast/ED survivor. It's encouraging to hear from other people who are battling the same thing. I am making progress in recovery, but I'm still really strugging to balance my nutrition and exercise. I have good days... and I have horrible days. Right now, I'm trying to learn to respect…

Added another 2.6 miles today. I was planning on only riding my bike today, but I ended up having to "run" some errands!

Wow, finally someone who loves Saucony even more than I do!

I have two pairs of trail/outdoor shoes and two pairs of indoor/road shoes. Also my cross-country spikes.

That's great! So glad you're making the choice to take care of yourself. Eating disorder recovery is tough. I really admire you for taking healthy steps. Not only is this important to do for yourself, but for your family too!

I ran my ususal 5k today. https://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wohsRCl/exercise.png

At my house, people open 12 boxes of cereal and then leave them all out on the table. That's one of my biggest pet peeves.
-
What makes me irrationally angry: Calling running "jogging." Asking me why I run. People buying running shoes and not actually running in them.

Hey, everyone! I'm new to the MFP community. Here's a little about me: I became a distance runner over two years ago and started losing a lot of weight in the process. Unfortunately, my weight reached an unsustainable low recently, and it really took a toll on my health. Now, I'm a distance runner dedicated to staying fit…

New to the thread, but not to running! My goal is 50 miles. I'm having some health issues, so I can't put in as many miles as I would like to. Planning to start my comeback next month!

This almost exactly describes me at the gym.

Thanks for the support, everyone! UPDATE: I have been cleared to ease into running again (earlier than I thought!), but have to make sure I don't go too far or too fast. I'm trying not to do more than an easy-pace 5k. Until my six weeks is up I'll alternate running and riding my bike. Right now I'm just grateful to keep up…

Yeah, I used to hate riding my bike. It feels like cheating! Now I'm kind of getting into it. Maybe I'll have to start doing triathlons :D

I know how you feel. I can even say that I feel depressed because running is my outlet (as is for a lot of people!). I'm not happy with being limited to walking and other stuff at the gym. I've barely run over the past 4 weeks. I have what I think is a bad IT band problem and I'm gonna be seeing an Ortho now cause it just…

I've been running for over 2 years now. It started as a way to get active and soon became a healthy addiction! I had plans for a 10K and a half marathon, until I hit a road block: Three oral surgeries and a bone infection. I spent some time in the hospital and came home with a PICC line in my arm. I have to be on…

MARVEL. 'Nuff said!
