  • Add me too - I'm 46 and need to lose over 100 pounds.
  • Yep, same here. I lose and get to a certain point and put it all back. I have clothes in my closet with tags from each time I hit that dress size and just as it's ready to wear something happens in me (don't know what) and I put it all back on, and then some.
  • I also have 100+ to lose and I'm not looking at a calendar, looking past the current moment, or setting very specific goals. Feel free to add me but my approach is that as long as I'm going in the right direction, it doesn't matter if it is 2 pounds or .2 of a pound.
  • MFP put me at 1250 but I set myself at 1500, though I know I'm okay if I'm at 1700. I also put in 0 exercise which explains the MFP. I'm still trying to get moving on that (haha) but don't plan on eating back my calories until I start lifting weights again.
  • To everyone that posted feel free to add me too. This Monday will be the end of my 2nd week. I find it to be easier since I"m making small change and adjusting as I learn more about my eating habits. I also have an eventual weight range/dress size in mind but I'm only looking at each fifth of a pound and not looking very…
  • It's astonishing the things men say to me. And I usually get the blame like I was flirting. At a shop in the lobby of my office building the owner asked if I got all new underwear after I left my husband. WHAT? I mean it wasn't related to any conversation at all. Then another place I was getting a sandwich. I literally…
  • Someone mentioned about being afraid of losing weight and I have a similar issue. When I get to about a US size 12 I get treated very differently. Last time I lost a lot of weight I hoped it wouldn't be the case because I'm older but it still happened. I am a huge introvert and I do not want that attention. I'm extremely…
  • A very long time ago when I was in middle school my dad sat me down to explain that I will have to learn to be patient, that often I'll be one of the smartest people in the room, and that I have to understand that people can't help who they are. I blew him off (teenage girl being a stereotypical jerk) but once I started…
  • To be clear, I'm NOT a people person. I don't like being around them and don't trust them. So with that said.....I believe that the comments made are simply a reflection of what's going on in their minds about themselves, as most people are typically only thinking about themselves. So if you choose to avoid the traditional…
  • I have a hobby of working with people to meet short term financial goals, or just to get their finances in order (not long term planning). I don't typically charge for it, long story. But I learned a lot with this and it's similar here. I refuse to call it a budget because people flip out and find a budget restricting and…
  • I'm only a week in (I started last Monday) and just logging will help you make better choices. You will see that a serving of chips is so many calories and didn't fill you up. Just log, the rest will come naturally from there. I know I like carbs, but I'm learning just how much and I need to be more moderate with those…
  • Nice, thanks, I'm not going to do that then. Good for you! Good luck!
  • What is diet bet? I'm on a path of a loss is a win so if it's 2 pounds, great, if it is .2 of a pound (how my scale measures), great. I don't want to pressure myself to have bad feelings about not losing 'enough'. I don't where I posted this but I had made a sheet of my current weight and on each line it is listed lower by…
  • I am 5 days into this so thanks for posting all these.
