That you would have to buy new Pajamas. After 66 lb loss I couldn’t keep the pants on anymore. They had drawstrings and were still falling off of me. My workout yoga pants are too big and baggy too. Awesome problems to have. :)

You look beautiful, healthy and happy. Amazing work! I feel the same way about losing 66 lbs. it’s embarrassing I got that big, so I don’t like to tell people how much I’ve lost. I’m starting to feel more proud of my accomplishment because it was really, really hard and so many people ask how I did it and they are…

First time posting my progress. The before is in March 2017 around 228, middle picture is at 168 and last picture is at 162.

I drink a can of Dr Pepper 10 for lunch and put sweet and low in my coffee every day. Saccharin is safe. The “can cause cancer “ label has been removed. I also chew a couple of pieces of sugar free gum in the evenings if I’m feeling snacky. It works well for me. No cravings or extra hunger is caused by doing this. When the…

Yea but it keeps going down. I started at 228 and have gained and lost 50+ pounds probably 9 times in my life. I’m terrified that I will gain it all back again, so my first goal was 180. I got there and wasn’t happy with how I felt and how clothes fit so I set another goal of 168. I got there and didn’t like being…

I eat out sometimes, usually on the weekend. My husband and I will go out to breakfast at a local place and I have an egg, one bacon, one English muffin and one pancake with one tablespoon of real maple syrup and no butter. Also have coffee with a tablespoon of half and half. I’ve been doing this pretty much since i…

I love my Apple Watch. The total calorie burn seems correct. It’s also water resistant. I also like it for texting, phone call and meeting notifications. If I put my phone down, the notifications will buzz on my wrist. The only annoying thing is that it doesn’t sync the calories you can eat with MFP completely. If you set…
-
Eat your exercise calories back, just make sure they are correct. If you are using machine calories or MFP calories eat half. If you have a heart rate monitor device that gives you have a calorie burn then eat all of them back. Your body needs fuel to function properly. I guarantee starving on 1200 calories a day and…
-
I found that MFP calories are too low for me too. I was losing 1.5 to 2 lbs a week on the calories it gave me and starving all the time. I guess I’m more active than sedentary or the calorie reduction it gave me for being 51 was too extreme. I use my Apple Watch for exercise calories and eat most of those back too. I don’t…

I understand the anxiety about weighing. I waited 6 weeks before I weighed when I started tracking calories with MFP. My starting weight was from a doctor’s appointment a month earlier. Now that I’m 3.5 lbs from my goal weight the slow lose or small gains during the week don’t bother me anymore. I know I’m headed in the…

Congratulations! You are beautiful. You can continue to be kind to yourself because you are worth it.
-
Or split the overage between two days so you don’t get too hungry.
-
I don’t get angry about it. No one is forcing me to watch my calories. I have chosen to eat less than my body needs so I can be healthy and fit. When I get to maintenance weight I get to eat 500 calories a day more. I could also choose to eat what I want and get fat again and be miserable. It’s totally up to me. It’s like…

I went on 4 vacations (including a 7 night cruise) over the past year and ate what I wanted and I’m down 64 lbs and still losing weight to my goal in 5 more lbs, here is what I’ve learned: 1. Continue to be active and exercise; you should be able to go walk the deck and go to the gym while on the cruise. 2. Eat what you…

I had 60 lb plus to lose and started with 1.5 lb a week loss and then changed it to 1 lb a week after losing 30 lbs. I’m down 64 lbs now with my new goal weight in 5 more pounds. You can eat enough so you aren’t suffering with hunger and being tired all the time and still lose weight. The weight will slowly drop off and a…

For a couple of weeks I was saving enough calories for 2 low fat multi-grain eggo waffles (140 calories), 1 tablespoon of real maple syrup (51 calories)and a tablespoon of buttery spread (60 calories). I felt like I was cheating but I wasn’t.
-
I don’t have cheat days, but I’ve taken vacation breaks of a week or longer or I will plan to go over on calories on special occasion meals. I try to stay in a deficit for weight loss until the next special occasion or vacation.
-
I understand the anxiety about vacation. There is a fine lime between enjoying yourself and pigging out. I try to stay active and just eat what I really want, not everything. I don’t log my food and I know I go over my maintenance calories. I start back the day I return to really watch the calories I don’t wait until…

You don’t have to change it to .5 a week loss from 1 lb. you can just add more calories to your daily allotment. I tried changing from 1 lb to .5 lb and I felt like the deficit was too small and the change was too fast to be happy with my progress. So I just upped the daily allotment of calories from 1270 to 1400. I’m…

You tell yourself 4 lbs in 3 weeks is great progress. Tell yourself keep going. If you keep at this pace you will have lost about 15 lbs in 3 months.
-
Yes they keep adding in a set amount based on your stats. Go to you iPhone and open the Health app. Click on resting calories and it will show you a resting calories for each hour, including the times you aren’t wearing the watch.

Those elliptical calorie burns are just evil. Before I got my Apple Watch I thought I was burning 300 calories every 30 minutes because the elliptical told me I burned that much. I got the watch and put it on the elliptical workout and only get 153 for 30 minutes. My heart rate is 110-140 during the workout. I weigh 165…

It does amaze me that people think I’ve lost all the 62+ lbs by exercising more. They see me taking walking breaks or headed to the gym at work and tell me how the walking and the gym has really shedded the pounds. I tell them it’s been 1 year since I started weight loss and I really watch the calories. The walking and gym…

I know controlling my impulse to overeat when feeling anxious or upset or bored was something I really focused on during my weightless. I actually would tell myself “be a better person and control your impulses to overeat” and it seems to be working. I realizedI I was constantly saying I don’t care about the consequences…

1 week is not enough time to make a difference. I suggest stop weighing every day if you are going to get upset about the scale not moving down every couple of days. It will cause you to quit trying or cut back on your food to an unsustainable level. I can do everything right and lose nothing in two weeks then 3 lbs will…

Keto (Low carb and high fat) will stop your hunger for sure. You get sick of eating what’s allowed. It made me hate going grocery shopping because I couldnt eat delicious fruit or potatoes or pretzels or popcorn. It really messed up my relationship with food. I’ve lost 50 -75 lbs 8 times doing low carb diets over the past…

My husband and I have gone to a good chiro for years. My husband went originally for numbness in his arm and leg. She fixed him. No messages or foot rubs (I wish). She has also helped with severe seratic pain in the lower back and legs. He is always in pain from back issues and she is able to realign the spine and he feels…

Unless you are exercising 2 hours a day, 1910 calories seems high for weight loss and the amount to maintain at your current weight. If you want to lose 1 lb a week (which is a good amount for a 20 lb loss) then you would need to eat 500 calories a day less than that. I’m 5’8” weigh 166 and am 51. I eat between 1550 and…

Try drinking more water to fill the stomach. 2 lbs a week is okay if you need to lose a lot. I needed to lose 65 lbs and set it to 1.5 lbs for the first 30 and lowered it to 1 lb a week after that. If you are suffering too much you won’t be able to keep it up. How many calories are you eating a day? Are you exercising so…

This is what I do to stop the over eating.... Acknowledge out loud that I am stressed or upset and that I really want to eat a lot to stop the pain. I usually say out loud what specifically is making me upset or stressed. Just saying things out loud and acknowledging my feelings instead of stuffing them down with food…
