I am not sure you were in lockdown long enough for the heavy buys we saw here. So you might not have the sell off we are expecting.

Running does have a hard time competing with fried chicken! :D Glad to hear you found a place for your cousin.
-
Very high. If you keep up your cardio running should come back pretty quick.

Yes, we are very behind for the year for planting outside, but the nice thing about a greenhouse is you can grow year-round if you build it right. We plan to get there, for now, we will just be extending the season several months.

Oh, they COULD jump this, they can jump 8 feet in vertical height, but they are not likely too. They would need to be spooked or there would need to be a food shortage. Most of the time 3 or 4-foot garden fences are enough to deter them. There is plenty of vegetation growing right now so they probably will not bother it.

Been several days since I have run, but we have made progress on the greenhouse!

This!

Good to hear. Hell Have No Hurry dropped to 10k only, so I am passing on that, that was going to be my target 50k for a PR this year. The fact they moved it to AUGUST was brutal though so probably would not have gone well. :) Right now the only race I am signed up for is the EQT 10 miler, but I have no real confidence in…

Chicago Marathon just canceled... I was not in it, but several runners I know were. It was the right move but still stinks.

WB!

We need a drooling reaction for this one. :open_mouth:

That looks like a most excellent place to hike, @katharmonic
-
Do all this, but I suggest you give it a rest day so the skin can bind over the hole.
-
That is another thing. During the winter I need like 14 days to bundle up to run for an hour or 2 and then have 50 loads of wash to do to clean all those layers. In the summer I am running as close to naked as modesty will allow! :D
-
Yeah, I mean if I did not live where temps fall below 0F (-18C) I might think about winter running differently.
-
I guess that makes sense. They already pull the weather report for each run. They should use that to adjust their formulas.

OH COME ON GARMIN! I just ran 14 miles with a heat index of 114F and Garmin says I am DE-TRAINING.
-
Totally! But I would rather run in the heat than the cold, and with heat indexes of over 100F here I still hold to that. Though the 55F temp with low humidity is about the best temp, and the farther you get from that in either direction stinks more and more. During the summer you can run in the morning to mitigate that a…

Happ anniversary!

Congrats both of you!!

Welcome @lightenup2016 !

SoooOOoOoOOOOOooo... way behind in the thread with no hope of catching up. Had family here all week so just now trying to get back to a normal routine. Today was first run in a week too. Air temp was 96, and Dew Point was around 75 so of course, I ran a half marathon at tempo pace, pushing into threshold for parts of it…

Welcome, @QuirkyJules!

Totally! I hope you turn these comics into a coffee table book some day!

Happy Birthday, Hobbes!

So June is over. It has been a crazy year so far, but so far I am on track with my RTY goal: Looks like I ran 242 miles. Not bad, but in July I get to restart training so I might actually do fewer miles as I will be doing more speed work. We shall see! Off to July! :) July:…

Glad to have you. Make sure you start slow and listen to your body. Coming back to fast from an injury is so common it is almost a guarantee. :)

Welcome!

Cut yourself some slack and eat chocolate peanut butter ice cream. :)
