My plan is to change my way of thinking. I am no longer considering these food-centric holidays. To me, these are family/friend-centric holidays. The food is just another meal that I will plan for the same way I do any other meal throughout the year.

I started on Weight Watchers, but didn't like their new program, so I switched over to MFP. I overlapped MFP and weight watchers for a while. I only logged on MFP, but at that time I was needing some face to face support, which weight watchers provided for me.

When you consume calories doesn't impact your weight loss. That being said eating right before you sleep may inpact your quality of sleep (just like going to bed hungry may impact your sleep - I think it depends on the person). I kind of disagree with this. I rarely feel hungry. The biggest difference for me is I don't freak out when I get hungry and feel the need to eat everything in site to compensate.

I said eating calorie dense foods continually can make it a habit as a rebuttal to you saying they will automatically eat it if it denied to you. This might sound weird, but I put a spicy BBQ dry-rub seasoning on mine. I love it. (I don't like sweet in the morning)
