Well done!! I’d love to the do the C25k at some point, but right now I think it have the opportunity to get in planned exercise 2-3days per week outside of the house. Would love to be a runner someday, too!

Arrrgh, I just posted this in the TTC thread by mistake... so here it is again! Hi! I'm new to this group. I've been TTC for a little over 4 years, had one m/c in 2016, and have a 12yr old daughter... so I know it is possible for me to get pregnant! I live in NZ I'm waiting to see a Fertility specialist for a second…

Hi! I'm new to this group. I've been TTC for a little over 4 years, had one m/c in 2016, and have a 12yr old daughter... so I know it is possible for me to get pregnant! I live in NZ I'm waiting to see a Fertility specialist for a second appointment (had my first appointment in March). Hoping this will be next month. The…

Wow, great work!!! Well done! I'll bet your family love the new you!

I find that I'm hungrier on days when I don't drink enough water. Sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger. Picking up my water bottle as we speak!

I feel fatigued often. I figure it's a combination of my deficit (500cal per day), and my full-on job. I also have some hormone imbalances that I'm being treated for, don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. It hasn't improved, if anything it's been worse while losing weight (I figure that's to do with the…

Another vote for pre-logging. I do it in the morning (sometimes the night before, but usually in the morning) before I get out of bed. It makes me feel more in control, and takes the stress out of figuring out as I go what I can eat that fits within my calorie goal. I ensure I stay in a deficit, and that I still eat the…

I lost on average 1kg per week at the beginning of my journey, when I had over 50kg to lose. Now I generally lose around half a kg per week. I’m about half way to goal. Weight loss may possibly slow down as you go, so be prepared for that. As others have said, your goal may be too agressive.

35yo female, 5’2”, SW 246, CW 191, GW 132. Sounds like we’re pretty similar? Feel free to add me- I live in NZ though and weigh in kgs, so as long as that doesn’t matter!

I supported a netball game recently. Yes, I may have wandered up and down the sideline, but Fitbit recorded half an hour of walking. Um, not quite!

I’m in exactly the same boat!!!! I’m losing weight for fertility reasons too. Been trying for 4yrs, 1 m/c. Have PCOS, also have too much oestrogen and not enough progesterone. Am taking meds for the progesterone and losing weight to try and regulate both of those hormones. I’ve had one fertility clinic appt, had already…

I’m planning to (if I ever manage to get pregnant) and will do so following my dr/ midwifes recommendation about how many calories I need during each trimester.

I’ve had an L5/S1 fusion, with a bone graft, and surgical screws and a cage inserted. Recovery took about 3months before I was feeling pretty normal. Full strength was longer than that, can’t remember how long exactly. First couple of weeks were pretty tough- although I had a complication though which resulted in a second…

Wow, fantastic work!!! Congratulations!!!

An awesome story of success- thanks for sharing! Many of the things you’ve described, I either do or am working on too, so it’s nice to have some reinforcement that I’m making positive changes by reading someone else’s success story! You look great!!!

Wow, what an incredible transformation!!! Wear it with pride.... congratulations!!!

Wow, amazing transformation!!! Well done!!!

Feeling a bit geeky admitting it, but my favourite at-home workout has got to be Just Dance on our several-years-old Wii. It’s fun and gets my heart rate up!!! In fact, it’s raining here today, so that may very well be my workout today.....

I don’t know if it counts, because it’s a herb, but coriander/cilantro. Used to HATE it, couldn’t even stand the smell, then I had it in a salad one day and fell in love. Now I can’t get enough of it, and put it in everything I can!!! I’ve also just discovered that brussels sprouts are actually quite yummy, gently cooked,…

I always have protein with my breakfast as it fills me up for the morning. Apart from the mandatory coffee, my usual is a breakfast sandwich with ham, cheese and egg.

Yay, well done! Bonus, 3 geocaches!!! I’d do the hike just for them lol.
-
Wow, great achievement! I’d love to do something like that one day, when I’m fit enough. At the moment I’m only doing very short hikes! I have an important question though.....: Did you find the GEOCACHE????? (Fellow geocacher here, in case you can’t tell) :p

This is pretty much me too, although I do sync my steps- I just don’t eat “exercise” calories I get just from hitting my 10k steps per day or whatever. I consider this as part of what I normally do anyway. When I do intentional exercise, I usually eat back around half of those calories.

I’ve been using this app for nearly 7 months, and have lost 24kg so far (just over 50lb I think). I lose consistently, and it’s a very manageable process. So yes, I totally love MFP too for helping me learn the tools I need to succeed!!!

I also usually go to maintenance, and my vacations are usually pretty active, so that helps too. I’m also another who takes healthy snacks in my bag to help prevent bad choices. Works well. I’m going away this weekend to a conference and I plan to eat at maintenance, make sure I get in my 10k steps each day, and get up…

I used to weigh weekly, but on a couple of occasions when the scale went up, I didn’t like it very much, and decided I wanted more information. So I now weigh daily, but just record my weight on a Friday, when I’m often at my lowest. I find that this way, I don’t worry so much if the numbers go up, because I can often…

This is what I do, because I make salad often in summer! Makes the logging process much easier.

I’m in New Zealand and things are likely very different here, but when I have Chinese I either have Wonton soup (if we’re not sharing dishes and I can order just for me) or Chop Suey, which is like Chow Mein but with no noodles. I agree that figuring out the sauce is hard, but the sauce isn’t sweet or oily... it’s more…

I’ve been the same weight for a couple of weeks now- wouldn’t really call it a plateau because it’s only been a couple of weeks so far- but before I was losing consistently from one week to the next, so I get that it can be frustrating! I’ve learnt to trust the process though- I know I’m doing all the right things, so it…

I have PCOS. Diagnosed about 20 years ago, confirmed more recently due to some tests I’ve had to have. For years, I told myself that it was my PCOS that made it harder for me to lose weight. I tried lots of ways to lose the weight, always gave up in the end, because, well “it’s just so hard with PCOS”. My hormones are…
