  • I'm from Auckland. I go through stages of logging consistently and forgetting to... although I'm doing pretty well at the moment. Feel free to add me.
  • I find the hunger hits on the way home from work, so I always have an apple or other piece of fruit, a hard-boiled egg, and a small ginger cookie if I have the calories. Comes to around 200cal depending on the size of the apple.
  • Thank you @WifiresGettingFit 💜
  • Hi all... been a crazy couple of weeks here! Welcome @PregoPenguin and @12Sarah2015. Well, I didn’t get pregnant last month, so am on round 2 of Letrozole. Just entering my fertile window- I think- so please cross fingers that we manage to conceive this month! @VeryKatie, how are you doing? Can’t be long to go now!
  • @VeryKatie - I’m glad that the last day at work went well.... yay, no more creepy boss!!! I hope he leaves you alone from now on. I got my blood test results, and I did ovulate, yay!!! So now I have to wait... this is so hard, I just want to know now!!! I’ve had some light cramping and very light spotting, which I figure…
  • I guess it depends on how you want to lose weight. I’ve stayed on 1600cal for the last 10 months, and have lost consistently throughout this time. It has slowed down as I’ve lost, but I’ve also got more active, so that has helped balance things out. I decided that I’d rather lose weight slower and be happier with my…
  • I buy lunch packs of small cans of tinned tuna and crackers. Calories work out good for me (the crackers are only 100 calories or so- they are small), and paired with an apple or a cereal bar, I’ve got a pretty good lunch!
  • @VeryKatie how did the last day of work go? Hope the boss stayed away!!!
  • Oh dear.... good luck, @VeryKatie! Crossing fingers for you.... First blood test this morning, so I’m crossing my fingers for me, too.... keep thinking I have symptoms, but the rational side of me says it’s too early and I’m just feeling like this because I really WANT to be pregnant.
  • Wow, @VeryKatie, it sounds like things are pretty full on! I remember when my (now 12yr old) daughter went through a rough patch sleep-wise. Luckily it didn’t last very long.... hopefully this unsettled stage passes quickly for you, too! Not eating and drinking well just adds an extra layer of challenge... good luck!
  • Hi all.... @VeryKatie, good luck with your last few days of work? Isn’t it normal to worry about things like that in pregnancy? I know I worried a whole lot about all sorts of things when pregnant with my now 12yr old. I would definitely mention it to your midwife though, for peace of mind. I’m not using ovulation kits...…
  • Definitely first one. I love the way you can see the path fading into the distance. It makes me want to follow it to see where it goes!
  • Im another who works them into my day. I want to make sustainable decisions around sweet treats, because there’s no way I’m going to live a life without sweet treats! I want to develop good habits for a lifetime, rather than just eliminate certain foods for now. I eat things that fit in my calorie goal- often this means…
  • Sushi is my Friday night treat!!! Love it. I make it fit in my calories, but it’s not hard. I live in NZ, so maybe they make it differently, because we have slices, not rolls. But I can have sushi for between 500-600cal. Bonus- one of the restaurants I get my sushi from has calories listed! I second the high sodium and…
  • Thanks @VeryKatie , I get really bad period cramps so that’s something my body does do well!!! Will keep my fingers crossed that I’ve ovulated then... having PCOS, ovulation has been my problem in the past! Really hoping this medication helps. How’s your pregnancy going? You must be getting so excited about meeting your…
  • Hope everyone is well!!! So today is day 13 of my cycle, and I’ve had a very slight bit of spotting, and some tiny little pinching cramps that didn’t last very long. Not something I’ve ever noticed before. It should be about the time I’m ovulating right now.... so hard to tell though! Anyone else notice these things when…
  • Some cute names @WifiresGettingFit I’ve always loved the name Faith too. Well, I’ve taken my first round of Letrozole. It’s now day 8, and I’ve been told that the “trying” period is between days 10-21, in order to hit my fertile window. So roll on day 10, and please keep your fingers crossed for me that we will manage to…
  • Cute name!!!! I love the name Gabrielle, and Tina is cute too! I’m sure you can manage to bribe.... ahem, convince.... hubby?
  • Beautiful scenery.... I love being able to exercise in places like that!!!
  • Thanks @VeryKatie and @WifiresGettingFit :) Very Katie.... I can’t wait to be where you are, with only a few weeks to wait. I saw the photos of your son in earlier posts, gosh he’s gorgeous! Got my blood test results, dr said I’m in the wrong part of my cycle because I’ve ovulated (Whaaaaaat???? I NEVER ovulate…
  • Hi ladies.... I’ve been lurking in this group for ages, but never actually posted I don’t think.... have been reading through all of the comments, seems like a very exciting time for many! We’ve been TTC for a little over 4 years now, had a m/c in 2016, and have just started a fertility treatment programme- I’ve been…
  • A combination of things over the year that resulted in a slow creep- stress in my first marriage, years of back issues on and off, resulting in several surgeries and being less active than I would have liked, depression and an IDGAF philosophy there for a while, a miscarriage and poor food choices combined with too-large…
  • Wow, well done!!!! I’m at the “teaching myself how to run” stage because walking for exercise is becoming less of a challenge. Would love to run a 5k one day, and you’ve definitely inspired me to think that maybe I actually can do it!!!
