Hopefully these haven’t already been posted....

Haven’t had breakfast yet (it will probably be brunch today), but my normal breakfast is a breakfast sandwich- toast with a slice of ham, a slice of low-cal cheese and a cooked egg. Keeps me going for several hours, so it gets me through the morning at work!

I agree with the people who have said to bulk things up with veggies. I do this in order to get more volume for lower calories. For example, tonight I am making chicken and prawn Pad Thai. It would be a ridiculously small portion in order to fit in with my calories, so I add in a grated carrot, about a quarter of a…

Second the Asics- I’m learning to run and have just bought a pair from a sports store, and they have great support for me. I’d definitely agree that you should talk to someone at a sports store who knows about shoes and can advise you on what you need.

One that makes me throw my eyes to the heavens..... “I lost ....x..... pounds in ....x.... weeks by.... (insert crazy fad diet here). I totally recommend it!” Or “Can I lose ....x.... pounds by ....x.... date for my wedding/vacation/special event/ trip to the moon etc...?” Slow and steady people, slow and steady! It’s not…

The usual reply to this type of question is.... How are you measuring your intake? Do you use a food scale to weigh all your food? Do you log everything consistently and correctly? Are you choosing the correct database entry for the foods you eat? Often, when people aren’t losing weight, it’s due to logging errors, and…

Yup, those fluctuations can be pretty crazy! I’ve noticed that my weight is often higher after the weekend (more exercise, meals higher in salt? Who knows? I generally eat less on the weekend, strangely enough!) and at its lowest around the middle of the week. I used to find it quite interesting watching the scale…

I still eat most things I used to eat, but like others have said, either in smaller portions, or planned for and pre-logged. I had a heap of calories left over the other day, so I had a bowl of ice cream and caramel sauce. Chocolate features regularly in my diary, because chocolate!

Haha, I love that verse, but that deadlift would kill me!!! :D :D :D

I’m Christian. I don’t use my faith to keep me motivated as such, rather, my faith is an integral part of all areas of my life, weight loss included. My weight loss journey has really been about building good habits, routine and structure. I pray for strength to persevere when I feel weak, as I do in other areas of my…

Well done! Congrats on being on the way to a new you! I also have tried all the fad diets.... never found them sustainable, so gave up. Am now down about 60 pounds (29kg) by using MFP to track my food intake and ensure I hit my calorie goal each day. As long as I do that, it works! Enjoying increasing my exercise as I get…

Ahhhhh, so THAT’s my problem!!!

I drink it daily. Like has been mentioned, it satisfies if I have an urge for something sweet, and it can fill a gap when I really don’t want to use any calories for a snack. So, yup- a helpful tool in my weight loss toolbox, too! Oh- and I’ve lost around 60 pounds now, and have had diet soda daily right throughout that…

Ooooh yes, Camembert and cranberry.... man, now I want some!!!!

I think Libra is the android app.... I have an iPhone and I use Happy Scale. It’s great for logging weight daily and seeing the trend line/ fluctuations.... I think it’s the same sort of thing as Libra?

I eat the same things as the rest of my family. I often just have smaller portions, or add extra vegetables, or some chicken broth or other low calorie side to bulk the meal up a bit.
