  • It’s taco night in my house!!!! 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮
  • Agree with the above- see a Dr! I’ve had low blood pressure on and off over the years. I was in hospital recently (for an unrelated issue) and my blood pressure dropped really low, which the nurses didn’t like. I kept getting told to drink more water to bring it back up. So I was on the toilet lots, lol, but it did help.
  • This is what I do, too. Create recipe, enter all ingredients by weight. Weigh cooked recipe and enter the total grams as the number of servings. (Eg last night’s chicken dish was, like 1,150 grams, so that’s how many servings I entered). Weigh my portion and log the grams as the amount of servings I had (I had something…
  • Tonight I’m making pan-seared salmon, couscous with feta and lemon, and a green salad on the side. Tomorrow is taco night, woohoo!!!!
  • I’m 5 ft 2 also. I’ve lost a little over 60 pounds so far over the last 9 months, and am about half way to goal. Have just started learning to run which is something I’ve NEVER been able to do, so I’m pretty excited about that!
  • I enjoy exercise- once I get going, but yes, there are definitely times I have to force my *kitten* out the door!!! My motivation comes and goes... so I do my best to remember my “why” and just get it done! I’ve loved being able to push my body more as I get fitter, too. It makes me feel great about myself after a workout!
  • I’m 5’2” and currently 185 pounds, and have just started. Got me some good shoes and supportive clothing (important for a woman!) and I was good to go. I only felt I was able to start though because I felt like my walks were getting too easy, and I needed an extra challenge. I’d started with 20min walks at a moderate pace,…
  • This happened to me too. I weigh and log everything, right down to the 185g apple I just ate, and the 35ml salad dressing I put on my salad. I was definitely at a deficit, and was not losing. This lasted 4 weeks. The only things that had changed were I started running once or twice a week, and I came off some progesterone…
  • Wow, what a transformation! You do look much younger, and can really see the difference in your face as well as your torso. Keep up the awesome work! 👏👏👏
  • Definitely a noticeable difference!!! Awesome work! 👏👏👏
  • ^^^^ This!!! I’m not on a diet. I hate diets. They make me feel deprived and miserable. I eat whatever I want within my calorie limit. I tend to make healthier choices because I can fit in more food, and feel more satisfied this way, but I also have treats, too- I will plan for and pre-log them, look forward to them, and…
  • I pack breakfast (eat on the way to work), lunch and snacks every day. Often looks like this: Breakfast: Ham, cheese and egg sandwich Lunch: Tuna and crackers with fruit and vege sticks, OR cracker with deli meat and lite cheese, cup of soup and fruit, OR dinner leftovers, OR a big sandwich with deli meat and all the salad…
  • It’s Thursday here, but yesterday was: Breakfast: My usual ham, cheese and egg breakfast sandwich. Coffee. Lunch: Leftover stir-fried teriyaki chicken and veges from the night before, with 80g cooked jasmine rice. Dinner: roast potato, steak, green salad with low-fat feta and garlic dressing. Snacks: Coffee, orange, hard…
  • We have these in NZ too- I tried them recently, and they’re delicious!!!
  • Congrats to you both! It’s a great feeling when you start seeing the results!
  • I couldn’t afford expensive shoes, so got inserts with good arch support instead. They helped heaps. The pain has gradually decreased over time to the point where it has nearly gone, unless I do something to aggravate it- like my 6 hour hike last weekend! It hurt a little after that!
  • Mine is not working either, both before and after doing the updates. Grrrrrr!
  • I just did my grocery shopping yesterday. I always get plenty of eggs- have egg every day for breakfast, plus a hard boiled one for afternoon tea. Lunches- can be cruskits (I know you’re a fellow NZer!) with a topping, with miso soup on the side, and either a tomato, piece of fruit or a little Greek yoghurt. Sometimes I…
  • Yet another teacher, and I get the need for a quick, portable breakfast! I make a breakfast sandwich- toast, slice of ham, slice of cheese, egg cooked omelette-style in my microwave. Takes 5mins to make, and I eat it in the car on my way to work. Keeps me going until lunch, too!
  • My homemade Asian soup with small dumplings and heaps of veggies. Could live on it.... my absolute fave!
  • I have PCOS, and was told it’s difficult to lose weight with this condition. Well, that hasn’t been the case for me. All I did to lose the weight I have lost so far (27kg to date, more to go though!) was eat at a calorie deficit. Entered my stats into MFP, got a calorie goal, started logging (including weighing and…
  • My fave quick meal is poached eggs on top of sautéed mushrooms and red onion, a slice of toast with a laughing cow cheese wedge, and a cut up tomato or a simple salad (lettuce, avocado, red onion is good) on the side. Yum.
  • I just change mine whenever it goes flat!
  • Not quite sure what your asking, but I over-produce oestrogen and don’t produce enough progesterone. I take daily meds. Stick to my calorie deficit and am losing just fine, have been for nearly 8mths now.
  • I also eat around 200g carbs per day. I love carbs and would hate to have to restrict them! When I started my weight loss journey, I decided that I was not going to eat in a way I wasn’t prepared to carry on for life. I wanted to make sustainable changes I could stick to. No way low carb was sustainable for me for life! So…
  • I used to do it, and really enjoyed it. I’ve been meaning to go back, but am enjoying walking these days and am working on training for a trail walk, so haven’t got there yet!
  • I do this with oranges, too. Weigh orange and note weight, peel, weigh peeled skin and subtract this from noted weight. Actually, I do this with most fruit that has skin that I don’t eat (melon, banana, kiwifruit etc).
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager. That was over 20 years ago. Have had it confirmed several times since then with related tests, scans etc. When I started, I was over 50kg overweight (<110lbs) I’ve now lost half of that. I haven’t had to do anything apart from eat in a calorie deficit, and ensure I am active enough…
  • Thanks for the welcome guys 😊
  • I also think Coke no sugar is sweeter, and much prefer Coke Zero. If they get rid of it in my country, I’ll probably just go back to Diet Coke. Not a big fan of the extra sweetness!
