Chicken breast stuffed with cheese, mushrooms, and spinach - I had half for breakfast, I'll have the rest for lunch tomorrow. Edit: drizzled in the butter it was cooked in. Little on the fatty side for the first meal of the day, but it was so worth it.

I'm a snacker - and some of my snacks are just leftovers from the last meal that I didn't feel like eating at the time (for me, that's a big deal, I was always taught to clean my plate whether I felt full or not!). As for more "traditional" snacks; hard boiled eggs or egg whites, black olives, a bite of dark chocolate (92%…

That's my husband again, he usually talks me into giving him the yolks (his favorite) and I get the whites. I will try having a few when he's not around - he really is smooth.

Whenever a study "finds" something, follow the money. The tobacco industry funded a lot of studies that found no link between lung cancer and smoking for the longest time.

I absolutely don't want to lose muscle, in fact I'm working on building my muscles (especially around my knee). Not for bulking purposes, but for strength.

@Sunny_bunny_ "62g turkey bacon (I do not eat pig)" - pig/pork isn't something I eat. As to the beef, my husband thinks lower fat = better, so he picked up the lower fat stuff. I'll snag the 14%-20% next time I'm down there (once we've used this stuff up). I'm not comfy letting hunger take the wheel yet; years of…

@blambo61, I don't have a blood pressure cuff on hand, but yesterday my BPM was 57 after I sat down, having been in the kitchen cooking. Right now, it's at 53 BPM (just woke up, haven't eaten yet). Think I may have something little and go back to bed, 4 hours of sleep just doesn't cut it.

@Scochrane86 - I just reread the scale is a lying liar post, it helps.

Tell him he can eat it in another room, @food_lover16

Sunday – Breakfast 10g butter (for cooking), 100g levevis champignonmix (mixed mushroom slices), 62g turkey bacon (I do not eat pig), and 3 eggs, scrambled in whatever remained in the pan from the mushrooms and faux bacon. Lunch 30g Easis ketchup, 150g 10% fat beef burger (husband picked the meat), 10g 20% fat mozzarella…

But how far under calories is acceptable? Is 1034 calories okay for someone who's 5'9" and 277-278lbs? Or is that unhealthy? Oh I found this on here via the launchpad, so if anyone else needs it, let me copy-paste: "It seems overwhelming to us, since we were beaten over the head with fat-phobia all our lives, but it is…

So far so good on induction, sort of. It's not without temptation, and it's only been two days...so who knows. Both days I was below my set calories and set carbs, so that’s something. Though I think I need to increase my fat levels and decrease my protein on days when I’m not doing weight-stuff at the gym. Today when I…

Uhg, @Shadus, I miss beef jerky. It's so expensive here (a single 20g container for about 5$, insanity). Have some for me. I use the bodylab ultra chocolate powder (35g) with xanthan gum (0.5g) and 150g water - mix well using a rod blender. Not a terrific taste (it's protein powder, after all), but it's reasonably tasty,…

BTW, thanks for the foodporn thread, I'm so tired of seeing all those freaking cake and pie recipes on my facebook feed.

My husband doesn't really do much cooking, but he made us ... shall we say very well done burgers. A little cheese, some onion, and a bit of low-sugar ketchup and it actually made a pretty nice lunch when paired with a small salad.

I'm 35, not quite old but some days I feel pretty darn frail (I tore my ACL and a week ago I sprained my wrist) ;)

I think I'll try that pan pizza @johnnylew, sounds really good.

Just checked the list, none even in my country. There's one in Sweden and one in Germany, both several hours away (one way) by train.

I don’t like my doctor, no secret, I just worry about things like this (I'm a worrier, it's what I do). My husband, who’s fairly laid back, doesn’t like my doctor, either—she’s made comments in the past about my weight that were more jabs than helpful. “You’d recover faster from your knee injury if you were half your…

@Replies - It's tough finding health professionals that don't look at you and assume you're diabetic, arthritic, in terrible shape, and have high blood pressure. Hope I can. @AlexandraCarlyle I've only been active in the group a few days. My goal is to lose weight; I'd like to hit 150, but anything below 180 would be a big…

20lbs in three months isn't slow at all, that's great! Wow, good job. I've recently re-tweaked to induction carbs myself, just wanted to wish you luck.

I recently changed my settings to a more induction-friendly level (lower carbs/higher fat) to try and boost my weight loss. Calories are set to 1530, with 19 carbs (5%), 102g fat (60%), and protein 134g (35%). I'm having a really hard time getting my fat levels up, though. My husband is pretty much at his goal weight…

Oh man. I wish I had the ability to have a single meal out without leaping off the wagon and diving into a full on binge-spiral, but I'm just not there yet. Maybe, some day. Please let me know if you experience headache/craving/negative side effects in the next few days as you re-adjust back to low carbing, I'm curious. My…

I love, love, love her chocolate pudding and her brownie waffles.

I'm currently on induction for the next two weeks to give myself a kick start, but for when I'm not, I'll be visiting this blog: http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/ . She has some really great recipes for sweets and you can usually tweak them and they still come out nice and tasty.

Sounds about like my first three weeks (I did between 1400-1600 calories and 50-80 carbs), but I'm cutting carbs now to induction and trying to increase fat. Not entirely sure how to share my journal with you, though (newish, learning as I go). Some of my diary is in danish, too.

I went to the store recently with hubby and here's what we bought: Baby Spinach Onions & Spring Onions Tomatoes Asparagus Bell Peppers Broccoli Mushrooms Celery Sticks Spring Onions Fresh Parsley Fresh Basil Cabbage Carrots (my husband eats these more than I do) Black Olives (these are for me) Cheese Yoghurt Almond Milk…

Both are technically correct. "Dove" has been used for more than a century in America and Canada, whereas "dived" is more traditional. Some of the things my husband spews at me do sink in...oh my god. The horror!

From what I've read, around 30mg of vitamin C (daily) is needed to prevent scurvy - more for breastfeeding women, pregnant women, and smokers - and it varies by age. That being said, I just checked my supplement package and it has ample (80). So I'm not too worried about scurvy.

Today, I logged my intended meal plan. I came up with 988 calories total; which seems a bit on the low side for someone my height (5'9") and weight (278.8lbs). I'm counting so I can keep better track, to fight against my thought process of "less is better". I've modified, and I've still got some wiggle room calorie wise…
