As a snack with no weight I bring porkrinds. Takes a lot of space, but 50/50 protein and fat is great.

Going on a 1-2 day hike next weekend, do no where near the same issue, but been thinking about this too. Seems frozen food in vacuum should last a while. Or you could dehydrate beef I guess. Have also been thinking of just fasting the entire weekend, but seems risky.

My breakfast of choice is usually no breakfast. I'll do a 18:6 fast and start with lunch. Lunch is eggs tho. Hehe

Today the scale went up 700g, or about 1lbs. Was expected tho, had an extra meal and half a bottle of wine. Stil 1.2kg down this week. Bachelor party today, so gonna try making good choices. Hoping I won't reverse the entire week.

10 is great! As long as it's going down, be happy that you are doing it with great food and no hunger. If it stalls, try something. Like 16:8 fast or something. Only eating when hungry and stopping has been a real eye opener for me.

Have to watch the protein too. I try to keep it under 1g pr kg, but it creeps sometimes.

Keto works great here because you do that get as hungry. Combine that with fasting and you could do it. What are your plans in 4 weeks tho? Lifetime of pizza and burgers? That won't work.

You can eat once or twice a day right? So it's like IF? Get your protein and eat till full. Remember to continue working out to maintain muscle. Should only affect your fat and not muscle unless you eat junk. Doing keto would make it easier as you would not feel as hungry.

Do you eat back you workouts or do you stick to 1400? I had great success with IF, doing g a 18:6 split now, but 16:8 works fine. 6 meals seems a lot, if you get hungry in-between meals, eat more? Snacks should be low GI foods I guess, keeping bloodsugar stable.

The macros seem off for keto. Low carb a d low fat? Point of keto is to feel full because of the fat and stable blood sugar. Dietdoctor.com has a lot of good meal ideas.

Speaking of sweets. Just split a grape for my kid with my teeth, craziest sweetness ever. Not even good. I think I'm over sweet tasting things.

Hmm, weight has been dropping over 1lbs a day this week. Thinking I'm might be doing something too extreme. I'm doing a 18:6 fast, because it fits with when my son eats, and 1750 cals a day, not eating my fitbit adjusted cals. Planning for a lax Saturday because of a bachlorparty, so might be nice to be on the low side.

Remember to measure other things then weight. Had a terrible day, dead tired and craved all the food. Managed to keep it at Bay with snacking some cheese, and stopping myself at dinner. Turning in early and hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Not like carbs tho, and you usually need to eat excessively to get that effect. If this is not an issue every day. eat healthy till satisfied, and have a plan to get back on the wagon. I think your meal choices could improve. Shakes and popcorn should be exchanged for more natural food

Brain needs blood sugar, I'm not dead. :-) Ppl fast for a week only burning fat, and doing fine. Record fast is over a year if I remember correctly.

Hunger comes in waves, its usually a hormonal response, and not a dire need to eat. It will pass, even tho it sucks. Doing a high carb, high fat diet? Also having a hungry day today, most likely due to lack of sleep. Doing 18:6 fast, so no food til lunch here. Think I'll have some coffe ;)

You actually dont get low blood sugar tho, only normal blood sugar. On a normal diet blood sugar is derived by the suger you put in your body, or have available in muscle/liver. But in a ketonic state fat is transformed into bloodsugar at a steady rate. The first 1-2 weeks is probably hell tho, till the body adapts.

Last thing I read was that the body does not cannibalize muscle for fuel until you go under 4% body fat. Guessing that's not a problem? Working out in a ketonic state should not be a problem. https://www.ruled.me/mythbusting-training-on-keto-diet/

Managed to keep it pretty ok on the carbs yesterday. Had a couple of "normal" beers on the end, because some one else got them. Had lost weight when I got on the scale today, but guessing that's just dehydration.

Had a major partly planned collapse 10 days ago but feel I'm back on track now. Hit my initial goal of 80kg(176lbs), and has stayed there for 3 days, so not a fluke. Next goal is 75kg. Hmm, read a lot on limiting protein and it seems like a good thing. Lowering a lot of risks line cancer etc. Also, protein being convertes to sugar is a fear. I know your not supposed to count calories, but I cant help my self. Stops me from snacking too much too. But what kind of calorie-goals do you set? I´m trying for 1750 a day now, but "punched" in some tacos and a lunch for today, and the tacos alone is like 1750. Any tips? My protein is worst, 60g over!

First post. Started keto 3 weeks ago when I started paternity leave. Feeling great, tho the lack of sleep does make me prone to snacking.
