If you're physically hungry. Why are you ignoring that hunger? Just eat. Being super strict to the point of not knowing whether or not to eat when hungry is flirting with an eating disorder. Just chill out and up your cals some more. Even eat at maintenance for a day or two.

If it makes you overeat, yes. If you can eat bread without it affecting your appetite post consumption, no. Eating at a calorie deficit while nourishing your body is the main goal.

If someone put you in a room in Cambodia, in the middle of nowhere gave you your required cals to lose weight you will most definitely lose weight. If you need to start slow go ahead, divide and conquer. That could mean having a small deficit…
