I’m a big fan of JMs videos. They got me to pick up weights at home for the first time. I mostly did Ripped in 30. I’ve moved on for now, but I’ll still use one of her workouts now and then for a good burn at home. Her style is so motivating. Enjoy!

How’s everyone doing on year-end goals? I have logged everything, and I’ve been drinking my water. I’m not hiking in the 5 degree temps but I AM making it to the gym where the treadmill will have to do. How’s everyone else? Any new goals for these last few days of ‘17?

So inspiring! Well done.

Still here, still logging! I’m pulling it together...

No. When the company was new you couldn’t beat their quality but it’s gone way downhill.

So inspiring. Thanks for sharing this.

I think this is so important.

I have not skipped a day of logging since joining this thread! I feel like I’m documenting a backwards slide into old eating habits. But that’s ok. I’m pulling it together and I know I can get back to where I was when I was making progress.

I know acupuncturists who do dry needling as an adjunct therapy. There’s some difference between traditional acupuncture and dry needling.

Still logging all the embarrassing holiday nibbles. Staying close to goal! Cheers to all.

Logging through the holidays!

It is hard logging my holiday treats! So glad for this thread. It’s motivating me to think twice before I indulge because yep, I’m logging it!

^ Agree about the glutes. I do manual trigger point therapy. Many of my clients get dry needling done by others and report real results.

^ Agree. Changing my usual thought responses to stress, disappointment and boredom has been helpful. Can’t out-think clinical depression of course, but watching and changing old thought patterns has been helpful. Great advice. In order for me to keep busy, I have to avoid the old habit of over-exercising so I can be more…

Breakfast is hard boiled eggs almost every day.

I’ll join! One of my goals is to keep logging everything through the new year - with any holiday eating included. I do much less damage when I’m accountable for logging every bite.

I recently made a “capsule wardrobe” and gave away bags filled with any clothes I don’t absolutely love. Some clothes from 20lbs ago went out! I’ve lost all the baby weight and am so happy those old clothes are gone.

My goals are to continue logging everything as accurately as possible even at parties; to stay hydrated; and to get the outdoor hikes in plus the gym.

Such a great post, and a great question. Definitely go with your instinct to keep up the slow and patient steps that are working. I’m trying to dig up old beliefs and challenge them because I have always struggled in the past with messing up great progress. A lot of my destructive behaviors are tied to old, non-useful…

^ this for sure. I hope you get some relief soon.

Hi all , I’m joining in! 5’6” 133 I cut down to 130 around Thanksgiving and just need a little accountability to recover that loss and keep getting leaner!

I’m doing SC, just started Week 9 although I’m in my third month. Great results so far; although I still feel like such a newbie, it’s given me real direction at the gym. And at home - the workouts have been pretty adaptable to my basement too. Feel free to add me!

Any studies you can point me to on a possible placebo effect?
-
Basically, no.

I have had good results from dry needling. I got it for my shoulders to treat rotator cuff issues. I’ve also had my glutes, quads, and SI joint dry needled, all related to SI and low back pain. I had mixed results. But dry needling is an effective treatment for trigger points, IMO. A manual trigger point therapist can also…

This is good advice.

Where’s his evidence, though? And I mistrust blanket statements like “all these types of vitamins.”
-
I’d get on the floor and do some Pilates.

I find these the least helpful responses.

Is it too late to join? Me: 5’6” 132.8 Just trying not to gain for the holidays!
