  • Miss all of these 😢 junk food of my youth!
  • I am also marathon training! I see how I feel, but once you’ve burned 1000+ calories after a long run, grossing 3000 for the day is very easy to do (for me at least). I can tell my body needs the fuel. I also HAVE to eat at least one full meal before the run personally or I get runner’s gut (every single time). I don’t…
  • the cheesecake above! Also, my "goat" while dieting is a night cap of greek yogurt, sweetener, cinnamon, vanilla frozen strawberries, PB if I need the fats all whipped up in a blender topped with whip topping / pecans if I have the allotment for it. So delicious!
  • After logging off and on for probably 4-5 years, I’ve gotten to the point where I pretty much know what and how to eat to maintain without it. I usually “reign it in” during the week, roughly track calories only and splurge a little over the weekend. I’ve maintained like this for years now. Good luck! You look great 👍
  • Simple salads! I always have bagged lettuce, cuke and cherry tomato as Well as some kinda meat on hand. I make my own Greek yogurt dressings and sometimes add a string cheese! For the dressing, the flavoring options are endless. I’ll make a SF sweet mustard one with brown mustard, Splenda and yogurt, ranch flavored, etc...
  • Have you tried chicken cordon bleu? We do a very unsophisticated version sometimes by sticking some mozzarella in the middle and wrapping with ham. If we’re feeling fancy we do an egg / bread crumb coating and bake. Other that that, I love cooking thin sliced chicken in sesame oil in a wok on high heat with some Otajoy…
  • I’m jealous of all of you that can grow decent calves. I have to work mine out twice a week to maintain what little tissue is there
  • I took wellbutrin for several months a few years ago and didn't notice any weight fluctuation during that time. I'm assuming you're taking this for reasons other than weight loss? Good luck!
  • I go for the sugar free great value french vanilla creamer. . . tastes like lucky charms marshmallows. for a decent-sized cup I use 2 Tbsp = 40 calories and sometimes go back for another 1/2 cup with another Tbsp. . . so 60 calories. . . not bad in my book. I also use splenda as I like it a bit sweeter. Highly recommend…
  • 1 cup egg whites topped with ketchup, salt & pepper, 2 slices Dave's Killer bread organic wheat toast with butter spray, 1.5 cups of starbucks blonde roast with 2 Tbsp creamer and splenda. My all-time favorite daily, non-special breakfast.
  • I love greek yogurt! A few of my favorite ways to eat it: blended with frozen strawberries and pb for a smoothie / froyo-like consistency (though you'd probably omit the pb to keep it fat free), with splenda and berries or sugar free pie filling (cherry is the best IMO) and cinnamon. Also, with berries, splenda and granola…
  • you look beautiful before and after, but you look so much happier after your weight loss :) congratulations!!
  • This thread is making my mouth water :p My "go tos" are peanut butter, nutella, basically any treat in the hostess / little debbie / entenmann's aisle: swiss rolls, nutty buddies, cupcakes, donuts, etc. . . I love most of that crap! Also the cookie / cracker aisle--I love pre-packaged cookies including anything by…
  • I do them on one of my leg days. I do romanian deadlifts pretty much exclusively now and really target my glutes and hams. I would just feel odd doing them for one of my upper body days. I don't want to share my PR because it's embarrassing. lol
  • YES. I'm really maintaining more than anything now, but I always have to have my treats around this time. I just listen to my body and try not to go too overboard.
  • I do breakfast a bit later, after coffee and water...1 cup egg whites topped with ketchup and 2 pieces Dave’s killer bread powerseed toast with spray butter (sometimes jam on 1 piece) is my “go to” savory breakfast. If I need something sweet, I go for kodiak cakes with added egg white, topped with whip cream, berries and…
  • Not sure if they have it where you live, but the rotisserie chicken is the best in my opinion! I’m not a huge subway fan but I’ll eat that any day!
  • I agree, they’re gross. I’ve never liked this flavor either, even with the old formula. Have you tried oatmega protein bars? I like those as well Robert Irvine’s fit crunch bars, give em a try if you want something more delicious!
  • I was not a fan of the Amy’s bar...it tasted odd to me and the chocolate coating was not sweet enough for my tastes. Where did you find this quark?? I have always wanted to try it!!
  • I have been eyeing these for several years at Fred Meyer and never picked one up for some reason. I finally bought one at target and they are so good! Definitely recommend if you like dark chocolate + raspberry!
  • Oh man some of these posts are taking me back . . . I'm a 90's kid and I think my school's lunches were partly the reason I was nearly vegetarian as a kid. We had the weirdest meats in cheeseburgers, "sausage" pizza, nasty dry, freezer burnt chicken nuggets. . . blegh. I did love the pizza though! Cheese or with the teenie…
  • I thought surely these would be delicious--I usually love these kinds of products, but I was disappointed :( tastes like a cheap, dry cake donut, the frosting filling is not yummy and tastes like they've been dipped in wax. Thoroughly disappointed :(
  • very interesting theory your cleaning lady has! lol . . . I wonder if it was a cultural thing? Some cultures have very interesting ideas about health / fitness, etc. . . One of my very overweight friends in school would purposefully fidget all the time--like over the top fidgeting because she said she read somewhere that…
  • hands down my homemade "froyo" snack--I blend nonfat greek yogurt, frozen strawbs, cinnamon and splenda, sometimes PB if I need fat. I top it with fruit, graham crackers, whip topping or granola, whatever I feel like. For a full serving of yogurt and 200 grams strawberries it makes a huge serving for not a lot of calories…
  • you could try any kind of soup--I've done chicken soup, usually with chicken thighs for some added fat / flavor, a bay leaf, some lemon, chicken broth, pepper, onion powder, carrots, onions, potatoes (or pasta / rice, whatever you prefer). Super easy. Also I do my own version of African peanut soup: use mashed sweet…
  • I usually go for either a flat white with almond milk and add splenda--tastes so good! I don't even like almond milk that much, but the flavor is so much nicer than soy or regular milk for some reason. I also like iced americanos with sugar free mocha syrup and splenda added.
  • I haven’t tried it, partly because our gym doesn’t have a smith machine per se...it’s more like a permanently fixed barbell on a rack with no assist. It could work, but the rack is also positioned in front of a large mirror where all the “bros” lift, so essentially I’d be giving everyone a free show lol...maybe I’ll try it…
  • I feel for ya. . . I really do. I came to a similar conclusion maybe a year and a half ago about myself. Although I've never really lifted that heavy. I have a small frame and my little joints can't handle too much. HOWEVER I am very happy with the progress I've made with my upper body in particular. I was a definite pear…
  • I use pre-loaded barbells because my gym doesn’t have an easy way to use bench + barbell and weight plates (I’d have to carry everything from one room to the next, it just seems like a big hassle) I use the heaviest straight preloaded barbell (65 pounds) and do high reps (I usually do 30) superset w glute bridges (again…
  • I second coffee! If I don't have coffee, I use Cobra Labs The Curse! I love it, it's not too caffeinated (definitely enough for me), and the blue raspberry is so good IMO, I crave it even when I don't need a pre-workout :)
