When I eat a 'salt lick' it stays around for 3-4 days. So stick with it - you are almost there!

I also have sleep apnea. You mentioned an oxygen mask, but mine just uses regular air. While I would love to get off my CPAP after weight loss, it is unlikely. I have 4 contributing factors, one of which is obesity. Surgery can alleviate one of the other three, but I would still be left with two factors, so I most likely…

I also follow a lower sodium diet (1,900 mg a day). I find it helpful to use a grocery app such as Walmart (or any local grocery that has an app) to research food labels. SO much easier to read labels on-line than to read labels in the store aisle, and you don't have to buy anything just to use a grocery app.

Hi, I belong to the Fit to Fat Support and Challenge Group. You have to join towards the end of a month to start up with the new month. You will be assigned a team (I am on Team Shrinking Assets). You pick your own weigh in day to post your weekly weigh-in, and can otherwise post and encourage others as much or as little…

@boehle - I am enjoying my breakfast routine of Jimmy Dean Muffin with egg white, cheese, and turkey sausage, along with a mug of coffee with Vanilla creamer. This month, I am trying to take my thyroid meds first thing in the morning, then wait 60 minutes before eating, so my breakfast is later than I am used to, but I am…

Pam here - reporting in. PW: 233 CW: 230.5 Weight lost - 2.5 pounds. Very happy with my loss this week, and even more with my mentality about food. I learned that I can have a slice of pizza, or a small burger and fries, and still stay within my calories and even lose weight. Getting so close to my September goal of 229…

My NSV was a restaurant/fast food dilemma. You know that moment when you start to order, and you still don't know what choice is going to come out of your mouth? Poor choice or better choice? I had one of those moments this week. But, surprisingly, this time I went with the junior burger and small fry choice instead of the…

Another tip (sorry for my 3rd post). Use an online grocery app such as Walmart.com, or a local grocery store, to quickly read through nutrition labels and find foods that meet your need. Don't have to buy anything to use the app.

I have also noticed that the frozen pre-cooked chicken (such as Tyson) is loaded with sodium.

Recommend googling "high sodium foods". I did and there are some good sites, mostly telling you what foods to avoid/limit that are high in sodium, but your case that would be the opposite.

I have lost 32 pounds and am still in the same size pants. Almost no change to my large stomach area, it will be the last to go.

I am hypoglycemic (and Type 2 Diabetic). Here are some common hypoglycemia symptoms: Fatigue, Pale skin, Shakiness, Anxiety, Sweating, Hunger, Irritability When I get shaky, hungry, irritable, tired, and sweaty (my own personal symptoms), I will eat right away, however, it takes hours before I feel better, but often not…

My concern is the number of calories you are eating. @cre804 So sorry you lost your pup. I lost my sweet boy last year and miss him dearly. But I cherish those good memories and times we had together.

Hi everyone! I am feeling a tad happy over my recent fast food choices. Wednesday, I wanted a hamburger, so I went to Casey's gas station/deli by my apartment to buy a hamburger. They didn't have any ready, but discovered they sell pizza by the slice. So I bought 1 slice of pizza instead. It was tastier than I expected,…

5'4", female, age 60. I eat 1,425 calories per day and am losing an average of 1.35 pounds per week.

I re-read your original post, thinking that perhaps someone read something different into it. I got nothing. Not a clue as to why anyone would disagree, let alone two people.

Linda, you have been a great captain, but working on your health is Number 1. I am thankful you will still be part of our team. Hugs!

I am loving your honesty. You are now even more of an inspiration because of your willingness to be honest and open.

People are still looking for that magical solution - good luck finding it!

Don't try to lose too quickly. @Terytha is so right. I also think about the fat around my organs that I am losing that I cannot see. I have lost 32 pounds, with another 50 to 70 to go. I only see a slight difference in myself, but noticed that the shirt I had on Sunday had looser sleeves than before. No one else has noticed any difference in my weight,…
