Been AWOL for a couple of years, back on it. Not really looking to lose weight just get back on track with exercise and healthy eating. Old MFP connections are mostly inactive so need a news feed boost, and general kick up the *kitten* from you lovely folx. UK F45

Great advice re saving the text externally, I'd never have thought of that. Feeling positive today, which is a great feeling. Long may it last!! I'm late to the party, but would still like to join if that's ok. Struggling to get remotivated after a hip injury, unrelated surgery and a whole load of *life *kitten** so hoping this is the kick up the butt I need to find my mojo and get back on track. Been on the treadmill, promised myself I would get off whichever came first out of pain, 1 mile or 15 minutes (thought I might have to walk some). Did a mile, no "pain" but definitely very very tight. Anyways, furthest I've managed since Christmas pain-free. The pain came with the making friends with the foam roller.

Physio cancelled appointment re snow, I now have another week to wait. Might just go on treadmill to de-stress... Shovelling snow and carrying logs has not worked.

I am booked in with physio Wed pm to see if I'm making any progress, I thought I was getting much stronger, but a test run a fortnight ago ended up miserably about 20seconds from home. So it's nice to read about everyone's progress. However slow. It gives me hope of some of my own, even if I cannot see it yet.

I'm still not managing to run more than a hot bath, booked in with physio for Wednesday afternoon for an update on progress. I'm cycling to stave off insanity. IT DOES NOT WORK THE SAME...

Please remove me from list, I'm still recovering from injury and have been unable to take part since mid October. I appreciate the tag, but it is rubbing salt in the wound for me at the minute. Mx

Well done keeping going everyone. I think I need to borrow some kick *kitten*. I'm just back from a bike ride, it was good to be out, but it just doesn't do for me what running does for me (mentally or physically). But it was apparent, not even 0.1 miles into my test run, this morning that my left hip is still being a…

I am alive! I had the op yesterday lunchtime, all went well during op. But had a bit of a disaster coming around after general anaesthetic so they kept me in a while longer than expected. I'm home, comfortable and have the unenviable job later of having to remove the dressings today and have a warm, not too hot, shower. I…

And here's me wondering how to get my old broken kitchen knife to the police station for safe disposal without being stopped by the police and being charged with carrying a concealed weapon! (UK)

Finished work. Op tomorrow. Got freezer full of homemade ready meals, a pile of books, various programmes saved to watch later, I've done double karate already this week and I'm going for a run later (to completely trash my body before I can't use it - I'll be gentle...). Booked my car in for service and MOT so it's out…

Thanks for the heads up @Bianca42 it really shocked me, but I will take it seriously in recovery. And as for mum/son competition, mine is half a belt behind me and will be raring to square that up while I'm off!

Good point @d_thomas02 I'm just hoping I heal as quickly as I used to. I had emergency c-section almost 13 years ago and I was driving 13 days after surgery (six days after second one two years later) admittedly no heavy lifting, running or karate but at least I had a sprog to distract me. Was back to basic exercise…

That's what I'm afraid of @bwmalone injuring myself through my own impatience "I feel fine I'll just try a press up". Epecially when it's something I've elected to do and I'm relatively fit going into it and not a medical emergency where I'm laid up ill or injured and less likely to be able to overdo things. Going to class…
