  • I feel like, for me, it's just better not to "cheat." It keeps me more disciplined. I believe that in most cases, MFP has you set on a 500 cal deficit by default. Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. So, if you feel you need to cheat, turn that day into a maintenance day, go over your limit by 500 but no more.…
  • Nah, not necessary. Really only useful if you want to be super nerdy with your data. I feel like I'm being nerdy enough by logging and tracking "normally."
  • I carry my water bottle everywhere. Most fast food places don't have an issue with allowing me to fill my bottle at their drink station as long as I ask nicely.
  • Something is always better than nothing.
  • I would throw everything that Dr Oz, the work buddy, or the person at the gym has convince you of....and do what works best for you and your body. I wouldn't try to over complicate breakfast. If you do an early morning workout, consider a trial and error and decide what's best. I workout early mornings myself and have an…
  • Usually 2-3 thin slices of oven roasted turkey, one slice of provolone, hefty amount of iceberg lettuce, spicy mustard on toasty wheat. Yum!
  • 1%er here. Don't tell me how to live my life.
  • I took the ZMA for awhile because it was recommended for bett rest. I stopped taking it because it wasn't really improving by my rest. But I'll probably start taking again for the mineral benefits.
  • Try not to lose patience. This app works over the long haul of it's worked correctly. As suggested earlier, consider opening your diary or at least give us a snapshot of one or two days. Do you take cream and/or sugar in the coffee? It's important to log that consistently.
  • I continue I see magnesium mentioned. I'll see how much magnesium is contained in the multi I'm considering.
  • Man, if you only realized how much water I drink. Consume a lot during my morning workouts and it's really all I drink throughout the remainder of the day.
  • Thank you. I looked at that multi again. Surprisingly, no potassium, though I'm sure if wouldn't hurt to be on a good multi regardless. We already have a $2 bottle of potassium capsules in the cabinet I didn't know about. I'm sure I can use that to supplement the multi.
  • If you're anything like me, you obsess over food in a very unhealthy way, which is exactly how I became overweight. In the past, I was jealous of people who stayed slim but didn't appear to try. I learned, however, that not everyone has the same obsession I have. I've learned this because I started treating food…
  • I get the frustration. BUT.... You'll do much better focusing on yourself and what works best for you. You're responsible for your own health.
  • For me anyway, eating is only have actually physical hunger and the rest, of course, is mental. As others have suggested, boredom task avoidance are real possibilities. Try to get to the bottom of it in your mind. Also, maybe try to find a likeminded co-worker who wouldn't mind serving as your accountability partner for at…
  • I always balance my weights with cardio. When I can't make it to the gym, I still get my cardio in. Works out very well for me.
  • It's very possible to lose weight wth an exercise program outside the gym. That being said, your prior success at the gym is very intriguing. What was your routine there? And is it possible to accomplish the same at home? You may consider doing a free one week trial, assuming one is available at a gym local to you, and try…
  • Consider joining a gym. Stationary bikes are great for low impact. Many with severe weight issues are apprehensive of gyms but everyone there will end up being supportive, I trust.
  • It does the same for me, but only when I log several back to back. It's possible it doesn't want to log redundant calories on your behalf. So you have a very conservative estimate. That's actually very good.
  • That sounds very conservative, honestly.
  • No one likes to waste food. But it's never wise to chance making yourself sick. I'm sorry...I would toss it and start fresh.
  • Protein shakes Turkey Chicken Almonds Protein bars
  • I'm usually in a hurry at breakfast time myself. It's always an apple and protein shake for me.
  • Everyone seems to lose in strange area at first. My first 10 lbs, I couldn't notice much difference either but my wife noticed that my legs were smaller.
  • Fuzzy pic but I guess it still shows what it needs.
  • Thank you for all of the feedback everyone. I've decided so far to continue at my deficit until I reach 160, as my body fat is still on the high side. I really don't think I need to lose any more than 10 lbs. Any stubborn remaining belly fat will be addressed with a recomp. A I said earlier, I already weight train but will…
  • Thanks! I'll check this out.
  • I guess this sparks another questions I really should have brought up originally. As I referenced earlier, I really thought my current weight I achieve thus far would be my ideal weight but I still have this flabby midsection. I guess that's why I feel a little lost. I'm a tad confused as to what my ideal weight should…
  • Perhaps, I should have phrased my question differently, or have been more informative. I already do cardio and weight training. I thought initially that my current weight would be my ideal weight. I was in spectacular shape about 3 years ago and at my current weight, yet he a lot more muscle and much less fat. Eating my…
  • 1890 but eat quite a bit more due to exercise.
