  • Just from the running groups I'm in and races I've attended, there are definitely skinny, unfit people and fat and fit people. There are people that look like the what most people expect a distance runner to look like but can't make it to a mile without stopping, wheezing and gasping for air. Then there are people,…
  • Definitely not as impressive as y'all and I've only been lifting for 3 months or so. But I was really excited when I leg pressed 190lbs. I weigh 180 so to me it was impressive
  • I'm the proud owner of 300 actual books and God knows how many e-books. Currently hooked on audiobooks. Currently reading The Gender series by Bella Forrest and listening to the two John Grisham books: The Racketeer and the Appeal.
  • Start small. Don't think of the bigness of the weight you have to lose or the difficulty in losing. If you can only cycle for 5 mins or only walk for 15. Just to that for a few weeks while you log your food. Focus on small goals. Each step you take in exercise and cal counting is a step in the right direction. So just take…
  • @thecookiemonsterbaker if it was just the cysts then birth control and metformin was his recommended course of action. But the tumor was causing debilitating pain. So the wait and see approach wasn't an option in my case.
  • I was 24 yrs old when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I also had a large, non cancerous tumor that had to be removed. At the time my period had completely stopped (something I was thrilled about). Before my period was horrendously painful. Like I was completely bedridden, in pain for 4-6 days every month for years. The tumor…
  • Yup I'm currently dieting in secret. I started this journey to support my bf on is weightloss so he's the only one I talk about dieting. Other people are way to free about their opinions about how they think you should lose weight. So instead of listening to all that noise I chose to eliminate it
  • I also have PCOS and it does feel as if my body holds on to weight. For the first 5 weeks of dieting, exercise and weightlifting I lost a total of 0lbs. Yup nothing. But I came into this with the mindset that I am going to lose weight. It's just gonna be at a slower pace than most. And it the reason why I'm sticking to…
  • Hi. Fellow dancer here. What style are you learning? Egyptian? Turkish? Tribal?
  • Can I ask how tall are you? 1300 cals seems so low
  • I used to be like you. My emotions were linked to the number on the scale. Sometimes saying stuff out loud helps. Telling yourself that the scale is like your toaster or blender. Is your entire day's happiness based on the level of toastiness of your bread in the morning? How how much your smoothie is blended? Sounds…
  • I weigh once every 5 weeks. Keeps me from being obsessed with the number and to focus more on my workouts
  • Walking is not humiliation. It's a training program and running technique like any other. It's called the Galloway method and it's used for any distance from 5ks to full marathons. So run when u need to and walk when u need to. More importantly, enjoy your race.
  • Remind yourself every day that you are a gosh darn great woman. That you are capable of amazing things. You do not need the love of a weak man. You are worthy of a man who knows your worth. Mr. Loser just freed up space for Mr. Right.

  • [/quote] Men who complain of women not replying to them when it comes to online dating (OLD) do so because they are messaging the same top whatever-percentage of conventionally hot young women in their early 20s on OLD sites (whether real women or other men posing as women) that a majority of the men on any one particular…
  • Yum Chicken curry
  • Sometimes the scale does funny things. I met or was under my cals for 5 weeks and the scale showed no loss even though I was going to the gym 3 times a week and not eating back my cals. I did my second weigh in again exactly 5 weeks from the first and now I have a loss of 10lbs. Trust the process and get a measuring tape.…
  • Hi all. I'm plus sized too. Feel free to add me
  • 5'4" starting weight was 190lbs no idea what my current weight is since I only weight once every 5 weeks but I've lost 4" at my waist and 3" on my hips. My daily cal intake is 1650 and I gym 3 times a week. Gym day consists of 30 mins cardio, then weights (either upper body or leg day) then end with 30 mins cardio.
  • 5'4" 190lbs Pant size 18/20 I got a large bum, wide hips and thick thighs lol
  • I'm 5'4" and 190. It's day 64 for me
  • The right big toe
  • Hello. Our stats are similar 5'4" and starting weight at 190lbs. If you would like a listening ear or support through this journey you can friend me. Sometimes having someone to talk to can help :) Welcome to MFP
  • I weigh myself every 5 weeks. I had a rather unhealthy relationship with the scale in the past so I just focus on my cals and gym time. More importantly I measure my inches lost which looks are lot larger than just lbs on the scale.
  • Once a fairly well educated person looked at me and said "I don't believe in dinosaurs". After a few minutes of silence and me blinking in confusion I asked "Sooo what are those things at the Smithsonian?". The reply and I kid you not, he said "Lies created by the US government"
  • My guy needed to lose weight (dr's orders) so wanting to be a supportive girlfriend I decided to join in. One of the reasons I joined him was because I didn't want him to feel left out when we go on dates, with me eating whatever and him being limited. Now our approaches to weightloss has been different, with him only…
  • You should be ok. I was really sick for two weeks so no gym but I kept within my cals and still lost almost two inches off my waist without exercise. Haven't weighed in yet but it's still possible to lose weight even if u miss gym time.
  • People who breathe loudly during road races. Throws off my rhythm so I want to yell "would all y'all just STOP breathing??" Yeah....I wear headphones now for races :)
  • Sighh I wish it as a fad. My family thinks I'm some kinda attention seeking drama queen. Every 10 years since my teens I develop something. In my late teens it was several food allergies. No one in my immediate or extended family has food allergies. In my 20s it was PCOS. And now in my 30s it's a double whammy of lactose…
