Usually I am hungry before my workout class which is at 6 in the evening but I do not want my full meal before I work out. A cup of fruit or a half a cup of cottage cheese takes the edge off so I can focus my energy on my workout. At the end of the day it is CICO so you need to do what works for you!

Did you weigh yourself at a different time of day?

You can friend me and check out my food logs

Awesome! When I met my first movement goal for a month I rewarded myself by adding another fitness class. Gone are my days of food rewards LOL!

Yes that is 29 pounds in 2 months! Thank you all so much for welcoming me to this group!

My goal is 2 pounds a week. I have been losing 2-3 pounds a week. My BMI is 35. I am eating 1200 calories a day. I am eating mainly fresh food only. Most days I am good and on the others I am ok with being a little hungry because the outcome of that is so worth it!

I have found that my grocery bill has gone down since I took the crap out of my diet.

I am new to this thread! My May goals were to walk every day for 45 minutes and take a Dance Fitness class 2 times a week. There was only one day I only walked 25 minutes. I am up to 29 pounds down since April. My goals for June are to continue what I am doing and to add one more night of cardio plus go on my vacation to…

I never eat my exercise calories back. As long as you are full and getting the nutrients your body needs I wouldn't sweat it.
-
It is mental...you have to be ok with being hungry until your body gets use to eating less. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and fat...but not until I was 100 pounds overweight. I am now 27 down and I am going to do this.

Are you weighing your food? Your numbers might be inaccurate. Also I only weigh once a week on the same morning. Daily weigh-ins can drive you nuts!
-
I choose not to eat back at this time because I am physically satisfied with what I am eating and I have a lot of weight to lose so for me it makes more sense to skip that option. It is nice to know I have it though if I ever want a second slice of pizza lol.

I don't like cheat days as it sounds too much like a diet and I am going for something I can sustain forever. I prefer to eat what I want within my calorie range and amp up the exercise when I know I will be eating something that I can't quit squeeze in there and still get my nutrients.

Fish. Oh and I agree kale is some nasty stuff!
-
I made the decision to give up drinking calories while I am losing weight but mentally I connect alcohol and food and throw mindful eating out the door.
-
Are you weighing every day? I find it is less frustrating to weigh in once a week so I don't decide that all my hard work was for nothing.

Can people share what has worked for them or the struggles they need help with?

I am 58 and I have lost 25 pounds (75 to go). I started by making small goals and building from that. Like I will walk twice a day. It might have only been around the block but I did it. And then I will give up all sugar. You get the point...do not try to do it all at once or it can be overwhelming. Currently I eat 1200…

Include me! 25 down at least 75 to go!

Count me in! I have lost 25 pounds and I think another 55 by Christmas is doable. Iowa

Zucchini really has no flavor on its own so that might be an easy one to start with. Season it to your liking (I like garlic salt and Italian herbs) and just saute it (you can chop it or slice it-leave the peel on) in about a tablespoon of olive oil. It only takes a couple of minutes.
