I don't think you're allowed to say that on MFP. You're allowed to eat cocaine laced with gasoline as long as you measure it to the gram on a food scale and fit the calories into your day.[/quote] Brilliant!

I get you too, would fat content not have something to do with? There is little to no fat in 100 calories of broccoli but there would be for 100 calorie digestive caramel biscuit ....mmmm !!! Lol.

I really hope I'm not sounding silly asking, and don't laugh....but when say clean eating are you referring to specific diet? Or general healthy eating? Oh and feel free to add me too :0)

What a fab question, lots of fab meal ideas....I find sometimes I get stuck in a rut! I too go between 1200 and 1400 calories, exercise dependent. Yesterday I didn't go to the gym so my meal consisted off.... Breakfast: 40g Museli, 100g fat free Greek yoghurt and handful of berries Lunch: Cous cous salad with 20g feta…

Aww you guys are lovely, I really appreciate all your words of wisdom. My husband is on his mission as I type to get a new battery for my kitchen scales (you never know!) haha. You have without a doubt cheered me up, this morning I was ready for throwing the towel in...! I'll keep at it, I appreciate my meds will make…
-
I bought little kitchen scales and have been using those. I've been very honest with my recordings on my fitness app, due to my meds and condition it's not helpful if I don't record accurately.

No, not due just now. Can't believe how down I'm feeling now, wish I hadn't weighed myself now!

Oh well that leaves me out, lol I have Graves which is thyroid related...not parathyroid. But it does cause severe pain, it can also cause muscle waste and osteoporosis. I'm in constant paint just now, everyday with constant cramps and joint pains in my shoulders radiating to my neck and down my arms. But like you I find…

Hi, I have Graves' disease...very recently diagnosed. I read horror stories of massive weight gains whilst on the medication as it reduces the metabolism to a very slow pace. I was determined not to gain weight...! I have seriously been logging everything I eat, cut out pasta (white), bread, crisps and everything else that…
-
Thank you for all of your replies, it means a lot knowing that we are not alone. I don't know anyone else that has thyroid issues. It's definitely a lot slower of a loss than it has ever been for me. But YAY, 1 pound down!!! I have cut out white bread, chocolate, crisps and starchy food types. I'm learning more and more…

Yes I have been drinking water, but if I'm honest probably not enough. I have ordered one of these funky 2.2ltrs bottles which should help. I'm on carbimazole which has the side effect of weight gain
