Burning fat and building muscle is actually exactly what happens when people do recomposition. You might want to take a look at this thread: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10177803/recomposition-maintaining-weight-while-losing-fat/p1

This has been extremely insightful. I will definitely continue to exercise in a progressive manner and start my first lifting program in about a month or so. I'll first need a barbell for Strong Curves or at least another heavier adjustable dumbbell and pile it up for things like hip thrusts. My 33 lbs dumbbell isn't going…

Thank you both. I had previously been reading about how there is a much bigger risk of injury while in a deficit and I needed to be sure I was playing it safe. I guess the getting stronger while not gaining muscle in a deficit part is what confused me, which is why I started reading up on it on several websites. To be…

Apart from the protein and fats question that I also am curious about, are you getting enough water? There's a lot of water stored in food and since you started eating less you might not be getting as much as your body wants. I personally noticed changes for the better in my mood and bathroom habits when I started drinking…

My favorite ones are from shock absorber. They have good bra's for a VERY wide variety of busts. I have ones that you can alter and somewhat open on the sides so it's much easier to take off after a tough workout.

I have some on my bread every single day. Still looking forward to having it each day! I don't care for cookies, chips or any of it if this is on the menu.

At the beginning of December I made a deal with myself to work out at least 30 minutes every single day. While I have struggled with that I'm starting to notice a change in myself. The last 4 days I worked out for 45 minutes and put in that extra effort. Pushed myself further by putting on those extra 9 lbs on my weights…

Another vote for this option! Neck hair is almost never a good look in my book.

I'm Wendy and guess what.. Also 24! I'm 5'8", Dutch and currently at about 139 lbs/63 kg. My highest weight was 72 and I'm looking to get to 58 kg (Maybe a bit lower before I start recomp, since that's when most people gain a little water weight. I'd like it to be the high range of maintenance). I've started on MFP in June…

Awesome, small changes can add up to major differences in time! There's a thread for this with lots of people sharing their small but proud moments: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1275030/whats-your-most-recent-nsv/p1 . It's really motivational to read. Keep up the good work :)

Thanks. I personally only use the woo button for broscience or simply very rude posts. Everyone is different and everyone has different preferences, so 'woo'-ing everyone with a different opinion seems a bit off to me and in this case it made me wonder. Thanks again for the clarification so far.
-
I really wanted to let this go, but I'm just too curious. Why al the woo's for my reply? Am I not allowed to prefer the taste of soy milk? Is cow milk not originally intented to grow baby cows into healthy, strong, big cows? I'm really just stating my personal preferences here?
-
I prefer soy milk. I like the taste better and like the idea that I'm not putting something into my body that was intended to grow baby cows until they're a couple of months old (at which time they're already a pretty decent size). (I still consume it when there's no alternative). But it's mostly personal preference.

This sounds like a pain. You're not supposed to be hungry that long or often. I would quit in no time. Are you sure you're eating enough? What are your macro's?
-
I think we all know that feeling :') I was very surprised at how much I apparently had been eating for dinner. "That risotto is HOW MANY calories per serving??? A serving is only half the size of my plate?!" Turns out most 'dinner' plates are too big for most dinners in general. I suddenly understood why so many people…

I have a picture of Candice Swanepoel standing next to a more regular looking person. I ask myself if I'm satisfied looking like the one person or want to look a little more like Candice tomorrow. I know it's silly, (Since I haven't won the genetic lottery) but it works for me.

I wholeheartedly agree with the suggestions above. I want to add the suggestion to take a picture of yourself, front and side (more angles as you wish). You may not feel you want to be reminded of that now, but later you look back to it with pride of what you have achieved and will want to continue further to your goal. It…

Insanity nearly killed my lower back, but before that it was effective for sure. Be careful if you start that! I'm also curious about your goals. I exercise at home as well, but swore off the plyometrics due to weak knees (seriously, my body is so fragile xD) I like doing sets of compound and isolation exercises. For a…

I'm not at my goal yet, but I did lose 19 lbs so far in a healthy weight range. What really helped me was simple logging. It allowed me to be patient and trust the process. When I lose 2 pounds in a month I am happy instead of dissapointed, because I know that I can keep this up and will get there in the end. Another thing…

Fitness related: 1. Get to my goal weight within half a year (14 pounds in 26 weeks). 2. Start doing a recomp after achieving #1. 3. Get stronger by keeping at my routine, doing both weighted and non-weighted compound and isolation exercises. 4. Once I got a little stronger find a lifting program I can do at home that I…

I'm 5'8" and currently 141.5 lbs (159 at my highest weight). I'm aiming for 128, but will stop if my face starts to look too skinny for my liking. I'm using weights to keep my curves and get more muscles in the process. Current measurements: bust: 34.6 inches waist: 26.5 inches hips (on widest part of butt): 39 inches…

First of all, Merry Christmas! I'm going to try for B. It'll be starting for me with gourmetting tonight (as in the meal where you all sit around a table with lots of small food on the table and a stone grill in the middle, where you prepare whatever you want on). Going to try to use portion control to keep to maintenance.…

I started on mfp and 1200 kcal a day the first of June, then had a 4 month period of maintenance starting in August and then started weightloss again at the end of November. I started at 159 lbs and have lost 17 lbs so far :) I usually do eat some my workout calories back, so tend to eat around 1300 kcal a day. I do free…

I wear lady boxershorts under my leggings. I have yet to find a legging that isn't see through while doing squats and feel a lot better showing lines from underwear than my butt :|

- I had to start standing with my feet on schoulderwidth in order for my thighs not to touch. Because of my wide hips I never had that before and it felt really uncomfortable. - Sitting became really uncomfortable. - I had to buy a size 42/XL pants (German sized). Always having been a skinny girl that was a tough moment to…
