I wouldn't go as far as saying the spouse should have 'a say' in whether or not the other should lose/gain weight or build muscle or not, but I definitely feel it's a good thing to communicate what is attractive to them so the other can take it in consideration when making a decision for themselves. I've been with my…

Hiya! I'm 24 with my birthday coming up next month. I'm 5'8" and have 7 more lbs to go before I'm at my goal weight of 128 lbs. After that I want to recomp (: I'm a vegetarian, though I'm a bit of a lazy logger and will use the calories on the recipe box instead of changing it all to fit the calories of the meat…

My goal right now is to keep my muscles until I'm down another 8 lbs, which will set me at a BMI of 19.4. I'm following bootyful beginnings from the Strong Curves book while steadily adding more weight to the exercises. After that I want to do a recomposition and hope to get more defined muscles. I'd like to see myself…

I went to the city center to buy new jeans today and bought two size 28 ones (US size 6)! At my heaviest I had to wear size 33 (US 10.5?). As an extra plus cycling to te city center causes me to have room for pizza tonight. Today is a good day.

Yes! I was actually wondering the exact same thing the day before yesterday. I wanted to start eating more because I was losing weight too fast and went to 1650 calories from my usual 1400-ish. I spread the extra calories out over the full day. I'm never hungry on the lower calorie days, but that day my body wanted ALL the…

I wouldn't call it afraid, but I am trying my best to keep as much muscle as possible by trying to eat at least 90 grams of protein a day (0.8 grams/lb of lean body mass) and exercising 5/6 times a week (4x lifting + 1/2 x calistenics). Eating in an aggressive deficit while already at the lower end of a healthy bmi will…

In other news: I'm…

Really? There's 100 weeks in a year now? ;) Nice job OP!

Yeah, no, sorry. Other than my lifting program I'm living a very sedentary life. My hair is definitely not going to fall out at an average of 1425 kcal a day. I might lose a little more muscle at this point as I'm only very slowly building up to eating more calories, but you're exaggerating a little bit now. Anyway, I'm…

Everyone is so quick to say you should lose at a rate of no more than 0.5 lbs a week for 10 lbs, but what if it's the last 10 to a healthy weight range or even the middle of their healthy bmi or something else? Anyway, I am 5'8", have a bmi of around 20.5, follow a lifting program and eat around 1350-1500 kcal a day…

I often just use meat replacements for meals I already ate before becoming vegetarian. It might not be the 'cleanest' way if you're into that stuff, but it's simple and I think it tastes good.

I have 10 grams of 85% chocolate through my morning yoghurt every day. When I'm feeling extra naughty I have another 10 grams (one piece) with my night tea. Dark chocolate is much more satisfying if you only want a little bit because of its intense flavor. Other than that I don't think there really are any good substitutes…

I know the feeling. It was fine when I still had 30 lbs to lose (half a year ago), but now I'm down to the last 9. Definition is starting to show and I'm getting impatient to get to my goal weight so I can start building some real muscles. Knowing I already do everything I can helps. There's nothing I can do but to just…

I'm sure this sounds very silly, but lately I've been noticing some muscles in my belly area and obliques that I didn't see before and it's just fun to flex my belly in different ways in the mirror to see how they move :D My skin is also starting to fold in a different way (rather with more smaller folds than a few bigger…

I started with 30 minutes a day. Now I'm up to 45-60 minutes a day, 6 days a week. Just stick to whatever you know you'll be able to keep doing and give your muscles and mind the time to get used to exercising. Eventually it'll become more and more of a habit. Small steps! Like others said though, it's not essential for…

Is she forcing you to eat things you don't want or to slack off on the couch when you actually want to exercise? Because if not, isn't it her decision whether or not she goes down the same road? I really fail to see why she would need to chance her lifestyle the moment you decide you want to get fit. Discipline needs to…

Made my mini goal to get down to the last 10 lbs this week. Next one is to get to the top of my maintenance range (7.3 lbs away) before I get to the end of the 12 week bootyful beginnings program. Starting the program today!

I unfortunately didn't make 'before' pictures as I really hated my body back then, but this is a difference of about 11 lbs. To be honest my leggings still cover up a lot of my lower belly fat. If you don't have that much to lose a couple of lbs make a lot of difference! I'm 5'8" at 138 lbs now. Started at 159.

I don't have a lot of clothing items (as I'm a poor student), but love to go on pinterest sometimes and find it to be a great motivator to see all kinds of beautiful clothing on beautiful people. It makes me excited to get to my goal weight and get really fit. Like 4legsRbetterthan2 I'm planning on a shopping spree when I…

@winejunky143 If you stayed within a deficit and exercised every day you should be proud! Cico works, whether the weight comes off now, in a couple of days or next week. Water retention happens despite and sometimes because of all our efforts. Don't be discouraged now (:

I'm actually Dutch ;) Have heard Americans about it too though.

I'm a bottom heavy hourglass with a thigh gap (ankles and knees touching, standing straight) and a bmi of 21. I wouldn't exactly call myself unhealthily thin :| Some people are just built that way.

Alpro has a zero sugar yoghurt variation. I personally like the nature variant best though. It has 2 grams of sugar /100 grams yoghurt.

Unless they think Josephine Skriver is bulky.... - https://www.instagram.com/p/BUQGrScjXpN/?taken-by=joja 165lbs 3x12 reps- they should probably not worry about 20 lb weights. (This video first opened my eyes and made me look into what heavier weights can do for your body. Now I'm reading the book of and am soon starting…

Like Noreenmarie said I wouldn't strive for a thigh gap since not everyone can achieve that. What you can do if you really want to try anyway is lowering your body fat% by eating in a deficit, but not go any lower than 1200 kcal a day and exercise to keep more of the muscle you already have. No one wants stick legs right?…
