I am 64. I am fairly new on MFP ...for about two months. I have lost about 7ibs. I am losing weight and it's painfully slow but I am happy that first time in 20 years I am able to lose some weight. So counting calories does work. Good luck.

Thanks everyone ! I started with1200 calories but reduced to 1000 last week and that must have caused my weight gain. I am going back to 1200 calories.
