@takinitalloff I’m going to read that book. Thank you for that…and for sharing that quote “Discipline is self-love”. It resonated with me.

@evileyefirefly I agree with you. You can’t deprive yourself for life. And this weight management thing is very much a life long marathon, not a sprint. That said, The problem is that once I taste sugar, it makes me crave it more. I think that’s what sugar is designed to do. What should be a very sporadic thing, turns into…

Hi. Another tough week where I struggled. I’m having a difficult time eating right. The level of stress at work is debilitating. I tend to eat my stress. I really have to dail it back, and learn to put myself first. I’m always been really bad at that. Everyone else’s needs seem to come ahead of my own, and I know it…

Hi. My weight loss stalled for the last two weeks, but it’s no mystery as to why really. I was feeling deprived and I felt like if I didn’t give myself a little wiggle room, I might abandon ship and go back to my old habits. Yes, it so easy to go back to those awful old habits. So, I had pizza one day and a cupcake a few…

@takinitalloff That’s funny. It feels like I’ve been doing this for so long now that it should be 2024. Four months tends to feel like an eternity when you are denying yourself the foods you really would prefer to eat and feeling hungry most of the time on a daily basis.

Hi. I’m down 1.5 lbs this week. Happy to be in the 160’s again. It’s been a long time. Overall, I feel better. I’m not gasping for breath going up a flight of steps anymore. Im so glad I finally made up my mind to commit to this journey. Complaining about it wasn’t working for me. This is a better approach. And thank you…

Good Morning MFP Buddies, Here we are… the final weigh in of the challenge. I did really well this week even though I missed my challenge goal by 2.5 pounds. I’m pleased. This week, I increased my walking and decreased my caloric intake by 150 calories per day (which Was super difficult for me). I’ve lost 28.5 pounds over…

@takinitalloff I suppose that’s true. I just can’t see doing anything more than what I’ve been doing to move the numbers on the scale any faster. I am giving it my all, so it’s going to have to be enough. Thanks for the encouragement. Congratulations on reaching your Sept goal early. Heck of a job! Proud of you and the…

Hi. Would love to join. I’m in. Thanks.

Hi. I’ve been really busy with work and haven’t been able to devote as much time to food prepping and grocery shopping the way I normally do. I find it’s key to success. I have continued to keep up the walking however, and it’s so much more enjoyable now that a hint of Autumn is in the air. The weight loss has leveled off,…

Hi. I had a pretty good week. I kept my calories in check and got a lot of walking in. I’m feeling better about myself and trying my best to stay motivated. This weight loss journey feels like a full time job. Anyone else feel that way? @takinitalloff You are doing an excellent job! So happy for you! Keep going… CHALLENGE…

@deepwoodslady . Well aren’t you sweet. Thank you! I’d be happy to share with you what I’ve been doing. It’s extreme and I know it, but with a bum thyroid, there’s no other way (for me anyway). I forego breakfast for a walk. I track 8000 steps on my fitness tracker. At 12:30PM, I have an Organic plant based protein shake.…

Hi. The time and effort I’m putting into this is finally paying off. I actually feel better and my clothes are fitting better. Congratulations to others who are meeting their fitness goals. Only one month left to this challenge, hang in there. CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT: 200 lbs. WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: 169 lbs. (140 lbs.…

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Those of us that struggle with weight issues have done the same thing time and time again. Menopause can be rough, but with hard work, you will get the weight off. It may just take longer. But the hardest part is over… you made up your mind and started again. It’s all you can do. No use crying…

@takinitalloff . Thanks for the encouragement! I think you are doing great too. Losing weight is a difficult process, but so worth it in the end. Forge ahead. @Illusent You reached your challenge goal more than 5 weeks ahead of schedule. That’s amazing! Kudos to you! You are very close to losing an entire 100 pounds from…

Hi. I’ve tried several different protein shakes over the years. I’ve finally come across one that I think tastes delicious. No chalky taste at all. It’s called Orgain Organic plant based protein. I have tried vanilla, strawberries and cream and chocolate. I love them all but chocolate is my favorite. I buy it from Costco,…

When I update my progress each week, I generally scroll through posts, and for some reason yours really stands out to me. I say to myself “ boy, this guy is determined to drop the weight! He is just killing it, week after week. He must have incredible will-power to stay the course”. You’ve inspired me to do the same.…

Hi. I had a really good week, despite being away from home. I owe my progress to prior planning with regard to meals and exercise. I had been stressing about it prior to going away. I was determined to stay on task with my fitness goals and I ended up having my best week so far! Hope you are all doing well on your fitness…

Hello Friends. I am pleased that the weight is finally coming off. I’m really working brutally hard at it. I’m a bit surprised that my clothes don’t appear to be fitting any looser though. I thought 12-15 lbs would have me at a size smaller, but that doesn’t seem to be the case thus far. I will continue to do my best to…

Thanks so much takinitalloff! However long it takes doesn’t matter, just as long as the scale continues to move in the right direction. One pound at a time…

Hi Everyone. At my heaviest. :( MFP worked for me before some 5 yrs ago, helping me lose 37lbs. Pound by pound, I gained it all back, along with an additional 20 lbs. This is going to have to be a lifestyle change this time around. Too difficult to do this any other way. Consistency is the only magic pill that I know…

I love this idea! I didn’t know I was able to change it either! Thanks for asking and bringing it to light Riccimaynard.
