You should be including a little bulky fiber and some healthy fats to lubricate your colon. If you're in discomfort, it means your poop is stuck, not that it's just less. Try extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil. Brown rice is great for moving things along.

May I chime in as an RN? Your body needs healing as its top priority right now. The intake of protein is probably most important to assist your immune, integ and lymphatic systems with that.
