That's fantastic progress in my opinion. But that's MY opinion. How do you feel about it? Something I've learned about running is that the only person you can really compete with is yourself, and there is no "normal". I've been running for months and I'm still a lot slower than you. but I'm happy with my progress because I…

Yesssss! In your post I hear a lot of what has gotten me this far in my journey. Here is what I told myself and still tell myself: - Sitting around eating whatever I want has made me feel physically and mentally awful - I deserve to feel better - I will feed myself nutritiously, move my body, get fresh air in nature, and…

Solid plan. Plus food tastes better when I'm running a lot :)

I have a couple of cute tops in my closet that are just a smiiiiidge too clingy on me. I want them to fit well. I also want to bust out of this awkward in-between pants sizes stage and get solidly into a 10 so I can buy jeans that fit better again.

What's your definition of "virtue"?

I recommend going to a smaller lingerie/specialty bra store and getting a proper fitting. It will be expensive to buy a bra there (think like 80+ dollars) but worthwhile. After that you can go to a site like Bravissimo and buy from there. I really liked Elomi when I still needed a bigger cup (they shrunk).

I really like this and I think I may adopt your process. I like the idea of checking in with my deficit weekly to make sure I am truly trending down. This puts the achievement of success on numbers you can control (calories in vs calories out) instead of numbers you can't always control (the scale). The weight will come…

A dog. I want a dog.

If a no-intimidation gym gets otherwise sedentary people off their couches to exercise regularly, then how could that possibly be a bad thing? I also know of several people who started from the couch at these kinds of gyms and, after a year or two, decided they wanted to up their fitness game so joined a standard gym.…

Kids are gone to bed and now I'm lounging in my robe.

I recently had two new smaller holes punched into my leather belt, and cut off the excessively long tail which wrapped around to my back (belt was handmade by my MIL when I was at my biggest). Today the smallest hole is a bit too big; I will need to punch new ones.

Lately I've been reminding myself of how much BETTER I feel when I exercise and eat well. Physically and mentally. So I remind myself that I am WORTH the effort it takes to feel well. And when I start overthinking things, I tell myself, Don't think, just DO. That is how I got here, 43 lbs lighter. I stopped thinking about…

It gets better. One thing that sticks out in my mind is from a podcast I listened to when I got started last year. The message was to not get caught up in the overabundance of information. Pick a method (might I suggest just tracking your food on MFP). Start with little changes. Collect data on how it affects your body.…

As far as exercise goes, don't go all-out at first. Start small, gradually adding intensity or duration as the weeks go on. Go for a 20-30 minute walk 3x a week for a month. Add time or add days. Your pace will naturally get faster as you get fitter. Add in a fitness class or video aimed at beginners once a week (for…

Currently sitting at 176lbs (5'7") and wearing a L, sometimes a M or sometimes an XL depending on the brand. Pants size hovering around a 12.

Lots of trash talking.

Making others laugh. My sass is on point today so I cracked everyone up in a meeting.

I am a woman so there are actual big differences in how I look and the fit of my clothing from one week to the next, even when the scale doesn't show much of a difference. The week after my period I call Skinny Week because I am at my trimmest.

I'm pretty much as boring as I look, and I kind of like it that way. I'm not one for excitement. I like a simple, orderly life with lots of time for leisure.

- laziness - sedentary job/lifestyle with no exercise - Had two kids and didn't try to lose the weight from the first baby because I knew I was going to do it all over again (do I ever regret that! I might not have all the loose skin if I had worked on lowering my weight before my second pregnancy). - breastfeeding. I used…

Don't force yourself to exercise!! I made that mistake last fall with a vicious cold and it prolonged my recovery. I did find it helpful to go for a bit of a walk IF I felt up to it, but nothing strenuous at all. As for the cravings, could it be out of boredom from sitting around while sick? I would try things like hot…

My feet are back to being the 8/8.5 I know - I guess they didn't "grow" with pregnancy, they grew from weight gain like the rest of me!

43 lbs so far. 17 to go!

Right now it's, "Don't think. Just DO" As in, don't overthink every little decision about my weight loss routine. Just do it.

I can't wait to go for my run. (Emphasis on RUN - not something I could do). No thanks, I think that much junk would make me feel gross. This roasted kale is SO good. I'm going to make some more for my snack.

Routinely late for appointments, meet-ups. Nope.

Figured but it was my first observation *shrug* lol

Might be naked?

I have to put mine somewhere I absolutely can't miss them - for me, that's beside my coffee grounds. I won't ever forget coffee, so I don't ever forget my meds.
