Hey,I'm only just starting my journey on here. Active,motivated and athletic. Tore my ACL a few months ago. Been back to dancing but need some ideas on how to stay active after my surgery that is coming up.

Thank you ever so much,sounds great! Do you still tend to suffer from any pain or does your knee casue any inconvenience? Is it possible to get back 100%?

My surgery went very smoothly bc I strengthened the muscles around my knee before surgery (quads, calves and hamstrings). An exercise I used to do was a quad lift where you lay on your back, tense up your quad and lift your leg, do that as many times as you can. Also stretching out calves, hamstrings, quads and hip…

If I were you I'd go to A&E asap. I am double jointed (I suffer from hyperextension of joints) and I tore my ligament when I was doing dancing. Best way to find out is to see your GP who will send for for an MRI scan. Don't risk damaging it even further.
