I'd say after ten years it's time for a new one. I bought a new one recently because it wasn't digital. I find I can't weigh myself everyday because it gets discouraging. You can do this.

I'm 61, too, and am finding it hard to lose weight. I've done WW in the past and hope to get back on track. I have the tools I need, but just need to get off my duff and use them. Smaller goals sounds like a good idea and I agree that losing weight at this age requires more patience. I know I need to make better choices…

Hi, losing twenty five pounds is a great way to start to win the war. One day at a time is always good to do and I like how you say that you are not on a diet - just watching the foods you eat and the portions. That is a big key to losing weight. keep on the journey.
