  • It really did if I don't prep the food myself. So family dinner at my mom's been really rough. Stuff on the table blew the cal intake limit off the roof with just few bites. Sometimes I miss the time that I can eat fried stuff without knowing how bad it really is
  • I don't believe in diet version of drinks. It's just as bad if not more harmful. Putting that on food diary to attempt to keep cal count low is just fooling yourself. Same goes for sugar substitutes. Just man up and consume the real thing, it's not the end of the world.
  • I have done p90x and insanity. Both workout are great. Lost good weight with it. Purely basing on time spent and weight lost wise, insanity was faster for me. Lost 30 lb with it.
  • To be fair though, what he said can also be true. When I first started, my body water % was between 52-53% compared with 55% prior starting. That was when I was 127kg, which means I had had more than 2kg dropped in 2 weeks just from going to bathroom. What I don't really get is that why are some people trying to divide…
  • Maybe. I only have my personal stats to compare to. My cal deficit pre, during, post are all relatively the same, but body fat % dropped much more during keto diet. Not saying it will be the case for everyone. That's just what had happened to me.
  • I believed its also because keto has converted you to a more efficient fat burning body type. It used fat to produce ketones to fuel your body instead of fueling your body from glucose which is produced from crab and sugar. My personal experience with it was great. I was losing weight more consistently, and cardio exercise…
  • Stay away from relationship.
  • It's time to review your strategy though. How did you first loose weight and why did they come back. How come the habits during weight loose was not sustainable. What change do you need to implement so that this time, you could maintain it instead of regaining it. Once you figure these out, you will break the cycle.
  • Just one small step at a time. I don't need to run, I can just walk. If that's too much, I'll just put on my shoes. Now that I have my shoes on, might as well walk. Since I am sweating fro. Walking, might as well run. Things are much more doable when it's been broken down to the tiniest steps.
  • Don't stock any at home. Don't eat any food that remind you of it. Or just force yourself to drink original flavour tea. There r a lot of option out there. Floral or minty is always solid. Make a large pot of it and chill it. That might give you the refreshing feeling you got for coke. Like the poster above said, it's…
  • I would just do something else. Sometimes I would go to swimming pool and stay at hot tub. Then for whatever reason, it would ended up lap swimming. Sometimes I just cook. Not the actual meal, but the ingredients that need prepping like sauce, broth etc... Weirdly enough, that also put me back on my normal routine. When…
  • You are still eating in cal deficit, not sure why this would be a surprise. Regardless of what you think of the food, if you are eating in cal deficit and your metabolism is not dropping you will lose weight. Your scale stall but for how long? Your toilet situation, water retention vary your weight everyday. Its hard to…
  • It's a test of self discipline as well as being understanding of your partner. Just gotta stay in the game and control what you eat. I am the cook for my family of 4. Kids are still growing and they eat more than my maintenance calories portion. My wife can have late night snacks and still keep the weight off. These do…
  • It happens and it's no biggie. Just need to get back at it simple as at. So what if you need to take one or two weeks to get back from where you left out. As long as you are back at it, you can set everything straight again.
  • Until you put a number to all those descriptive words like eating healthy, portion controlled, you won't know how to improve going forward. Even if you are cooking your meal, you should take advantage of create your recipe function. Remember to log everything including oil even if they are olive oils, and all those bottled…
  • 3kg(6.6lb) on the first week and 7.4kg(15lb) by the end of 1st month. Weight loose slows down to half of the rate after second week which is to be expected when your body is adjusted to the new daily routine and diet. My starting weight was 127kg(280lb) and I am 197cm(6'5).
  • Just need to keep going. I felt bad as well when I restarted exercising. Things I could do back then felt almost impossible. The reality check was very unbearable but there is nothing special that needed to be done. Just need to keep the head up and keep going.
  • I couldn't fit into my older cloth. I ignored it. I lost all my stamina. I ignored it. I started to have knee and back pain. I ignored it. My 2 year old boy cried when I had constant headache. I started my journey.
  • Since you hire the person, might as well ask him or her more questions on this topic. Everyone is somewhat different when it comes to weight loss. Doesn't hurt to try out different methods and see what works the best and stick to it. Try out different macro ration, different eating interval, different amount of cal deficit…
  • Thank you for the info. All I am saying is that there may or may not be be a reason for upping the intake. It's too early to judge until op gets more answers from his/her dietician.
  • There is always another tournament. If weight loose is just a by product of doing something you enjoyed, then focus on trying more activities. Try to be the best at it. That will keep your hands full until you become my age and realize health is actually important.
  • For me, when the cloth doesn't fit, I can just buy new one. However, when my knees ache from playing with my boy, when I woke up every other day with a headache, when my blood pressure spiral out of control, they really scared me enough to keep me going.
  • Com'n people. Let's not put the dietician on the grill stand here without knowing more. Possible reasons to increase cal intake could involve preventing matalblism from dropping, prevent lean muscle loss etc... Op did said he/she lost weight. Perhaps the dietician ran the numbers and something was not right. He/she could…
  • I am on original insanity. Just started month 2. Lost 18lb so far since the program.
  • Aqua aerobics. Or just walking around in the pool. Water should help reducing stress on your bones and provide muscle work. Should check with your doc to see if that's ok. Sometimes the best thing to do is to recover first. Learnt it the hard way.
  • I was 289lb. Tried jogging when I restarted on exercise. Not a good idea for me. It had too much stress on my knees. If you are set on doing it, run on grass or really springy treadmill. Should also throw in some exercise that strengthen your leg muscles to prevent knee pain.
  • Method one: Steaming Put to plate and put any spices that you want. Salt, garlic, ginger are the basic. Steam for 7 min depending on the size Method two: Pan fry What you will need. A good stainless steel pan with lid. Yup, stainless steel not the non stick cook ware. Matter of fact, avoid non stick cookware with this…
  • grind chicken mixed with grind turkey to make a good red sauce spaghetti. I would advice making your own broth but you can use those can one if you wish. Ingredients: Garlic Tomatoes Grind chicken & turkey Union Broth Basil Mushroom Follow the typical meat sauce recipe procedure and u will be fine. You can sub tomatos with…
