Hey, thanks for the responses. I can't really say what the fear is but its just this general idea of males scoffing at me being there perhaps? They do have boxersize which is aimed at "fitness" so I think I should start with that.

Oh brilliant results. Thanks for posting. I have worked out a calorie amount and a protein amount. In terms of food I think consistency is key.. eat the same meals everyday etc etc
-
No, maybe not 30! Perhaps I could lower it to a lb a week and focus on hitting a protein target and progressing on the lifts. Thank you.

Thanks for the comments - I was probably slightly on the overly-sensitive side. He is a massive arrogant meat head which is probably why it annoyed me. He won - ha.

Skimmed milk, banana, low fat yogurt and peanut butter?

Well no. That's lifting in general... Sorry was my post not clear? I didn't alter for SEN or EAL.

Thanks for the responses. Little bit more clear.

I personally like what you did. You told her she had strong legs and emphasised why she needs strong legs. Whether you like the word skinny or not is your personal preference. On balance, i would always encourage my kids to be "strong" as opposed to "skinny". Well done you :)

Thanks for this. I am the same. I get that my main focus should be progression and that's great but I wanted something long term to keep motivated, as I know this helps. Perhaps when I get more into it i will focus more on the immediate.

I'm pretty sure in my original post I said a mix of SL and starting strength. If not then sorry for confusion. I am following the lifts of SS and do the 5x5 of SL.

Also, is it worth me establishing 1RM I have lifted prior to this but I am starting from the beginning Last month I established my 1RM for the deadlift - which is 72kg

Great site - thanks

Yeah I agree actually. I will have them as background general ideas but will focus on improving each time

Very, very true

Thanks!

My sister is hyperglycaemic... I would stress the importance of getting it confirmed by a doctor. A really bad attack could leave you unconcious/coma.
