Usually I force myself to finish it just to know for sure that the entire book sucked. Unfortunately, that usually makes reading feel like a chore. So now I'm just REALLY picky about what books I'll even start reading. There have been a few over the years that I couldn't get through though.

I love cereal, but the only way I can work it as a breakfast now is if I have one serving of it with one serving of fruit. For instance, breakfast this morning was one cup of Cheerios with one cup of blueberries, and really, that only fills me up for about 3 hours or so. And I cannot put milk in my cereal anymore as I've…

Seeing as you have a child, what about going to local parks and child-friendly places? Mothers/guardians often chit chat there, which can lead to a friendship. Also, it should help when your child gets invited to other kids' birthday parties and such. Or if your child is interested in any sports or groups during which you…

Yes, I changed mine to sedentary for the summer as well. Even though I do a lot more exercise during the summer, I also spend more time sitting on a typical day, so I'm not moving around as much except for the exercise (which shouldn't really be counted toward your typical daily activity level anyway, since mfp factors…

Another anime fan here. Currently watching Monster, which others have recommended to me. Seems interesting, but I'm only 2 episodes in and the pacing is a bit slow (which is why it lasts for 74 episodes). I'm also watching Sakura Quest on CR, which is a cute little comedy. Nothing deep, but it's fun. I love, love, LOVE…

I used to have this problem when I watched television; I would eat just to be doing something with my hands. I decided to curb it by buying a box of legos and building things while I watched. Now I also play games on my phone or tablet while I watch TV, and I also don't really watch much TV anymore so that helps too. My…

As a kid I was a soda-holic. Drank it in the morning, noon, and night. Never drank anything else besides an occasional glass of orange juice. When I was 16, I decided to try and get myself healthier, and I kicked soda to the curb. I went years without drinking soda, and when I finally tried one again, I found it didn't…

@lbenson2006 and @Spliner1969 : Thanks! I tried it today with one foot placed in front of the other, and I definitely think I'll stick with that for now until my muscles strengthen up a bit and I'm more comfortable doing planks. Thank you both!

July 5th- 2 minutes July 6th- 3 minutes July 7th- 2 minutes July total: 14 minutes; 46 minutes left to goal Edit: Quick question for some of the more knowledgeable plankers: I have never done a side plank, but I noticed that in some videos/how-tos, the feet are stacked on each other and in others, the feet are placed one…

Pizza is one of the foods I could never fully give up. Favorite toppings include red peppers, garlic, and provolone cheese (I LOVE cheeses). I don't really have a favorite pizza place. I like the smaller places, whose slices really fill you up, and I'm okay with chains as well. I don't discriminate against pizzas.

Been vegetarian for 22 years. Initially decided to go that route because I thought it was healthier overall and because I'm extremely picky and didn't like most meats anyway. These days, just the sight of uncooked meat makes me queasy. I've never heard about any positive effects on Crohn's from being vegan or vegetarian.…
