After 8:00 pm....always trouble. I guess that I rationalize some of it by looking at the number of calories burned during a workout and finally eating fruit, popcorn, nuts and cheese sticks and every now and then a protein shake.

I do a lot of road riding, did a lot of road riding until I injured my hand. I'm now on my trainer 4-5 days a week for 90-120 minutes each time. I use a few years old Cycle-Ops trainer watching HD Cycling videos on YouTube. You're doing a lot of good work! Keep it up! You've inspired me today.

There's a lot of good advice here. The type of bike may impact your speed as will the tire size. I did not see what kind if bicycle you are riding. Look at a tires in a 28-32cm width. Increasing your mileage on non-work days will help you increase your speed as you increase your fitness (and yes, hills are your friends).…
