Hello! I'm doing around 1,290 and go up to 1,350 at times right now and it's working fine for me. I'm 5'2" with about 70 pounds to lose. You can do it! I'll friend you.

I'm a shortie and have a lot to lose, so 1,290. Was a 1,200 but recalculated my new weight and slower loss and went to 1,290. Sometimes I go to 1,350 and lose slower, just depends on how I'm feeling.

I'm 5'2" and goal is 1,290 per day. I've got 70 pounds to lose. I'm from Texas. I've I was losing too fast at first at 1,200 calories, so after reading on the boards here, I upped it to 1,350. Every morning first thing after I get up and go to the bathroom :) I like knowing if I've got down, and if I go up a bit, I adjust that day in my eating to take care of it.

I lost seven pounds after my surgery without trying. Now I'm signed up with MFP and lost 15 pounds in the last two months easily. Hello! I added myself and my last two weigh-ins! This will be terrific to see the pounds come off! This last week ending today was a disappointment. I'd lost three pounds, but had one day where I overate my calories and ended up with just a one-pound loss for the week - will do better next week! Best wishes, everyone!
