All I know is I like that a little food goes a long way now. I'm down 42lbs since surgery on 10/17/17. I eat about 1/2 c. - 1 c. of food at a meal. I weigh my meats so I can track amounts. I eat some of my protein, and drink the rest. I do usually one protein drink a day now. I like Premeire Protein Clear Protein. It's…

Don't over buy for the pureed stage....I am 2 months out from VSG and I still have a ton of jello, pudding, soups. I was able to exercise after my 6 week checkup. I am going to the gym twice a week now and enjoying my alone-time, getting my body in shape. It's still work and so is the vsg diet. I track, track,…

So far I like the Atkins snacks and bars.

My date was 10/17/17. I'm always happy to have friends to share food ideas with and my new journey.

SSbeadlady, what type of biotin do you take? (Brand? Is it capsules, pills?) I am just beginning my bariatric vitamins today (2 weeks out). They didn't want me to take anything until now. Won't the bariatric vitamin be enough? I have to check if it contains biotin.

I am more recently sleeved (10/17/17), so I'm not able to have salads yet. I always loved salads for lunch and took them to work with me. It'll be interesting to see what my new choices are going to be. I'm still at pureed food. Anyone looking for new friends, let me know. It helps to share this journey.

Hi cafc1ormy! Are you excited, scared or a little of both? I am sure I'm going to be a bundle of nerves that day.

One fitness expert I listened to said to "skip the crunches" and do planks to strengthen core and flatten stomach. If I get her name I will post it here. Her video was about how we do the wrong exercises. It was a corrective video on the types of exercises that work!

Hello everyone. I apologize for not seeing these posts sooner. I'm really happy you are willing to share your journeys. I think if we stick together we can find out some useful information. My story is I'm 53. I decided in February that I wanted to get gastric sleeve gastrectomy surgery. I live in NY and I have Empire…

Thank you everyone for sharing a little about your journey! Im sorry I didnt check this post sooner. I am 53 and I am losing weight to get to a pre-surgery weight goal for gastric sleeve surgery. jello knox blox, greek non-fat yogurt, fruit w/whipped cream, skinny pop popcorn, sf pudding
-
I like to make Knox Blox. 1 box of Knox unflavored gelatin (4 pkts inside), 3 small boxes of sf gelatin- same flavor, 4 cups of boiling water. Dissolve all gelatin in 4 cups boiled water. Pour into a 9x13" pan. Chill in the refrigerator. Cut into 32 bloxs. Half a pan of bloxs is 40 calories and filling.

I too am going to have the sleeve done. I'm losing weight pre-op, but saving up some recipes in my Pintrest. It's a good source for recipes. Enjoy!
