  • I found a wallet in the road one time! Grabbed my husband and we drove over to the kid's house to give it back. He was super grateful to us and now I always keep my eye out for interesting things! Oh, and my dog found a piece of pizza in someone's yard once. Does that count? :D
  • Kind of absurd that the wraps are 300 calories when you can get a foot long of their Italian bread for 400. I'll take 100 extra calories to be that much fuller at the end of the day!
  • I ran a quarter mile last night without stopping to walk. It may not seem like much to some, but for me this is HUGE. I can't remember the last time in my life I've ever been able to sustain a run for that long. It was slow, but it was running, and I couldn't be more proud!
  • I moved all of my husband's snack foods and things into his own cupboard. For me, out of sight out of mind is truly a thing of it's own. He has all kinds of sweets, chips, crackers, etc. in there but I don't really even think about them anymore. I agree with someone who said that you need to mentally tell yourself that…
  • Nuts! Sure, those little buggers might be packed with protein and other good things for you, but I RARELY can fit them into my calorie goals, and always in smaller portions than I ever believed. In the past I could've easily eaten a cup of peanuts as a "healthy" 800+ calorie snack.
  • I get this a LOT at work. Coworkers are constantly trying to defend their "bad" choices to me (I typically have a tiny lunch so I can have a HUGE dinner, so their normal-sized lunches often look like a large portion comparatively). I usually try to compliment what they're having ("That smells amazing, did you make it…
  • I started with a few small things... a new stainless steel water bottle, a bracelet, and fancy skincare items. Now that I'm down a lot more my rewards have become things that I need because nothing fits anymore and things are getting worn out! I just got a new pair of Asics because my others were so worn down, and I got a…
  • I'm a walker. I started by going about half a mile a day and slowly worked the distance up. Now I walk 2-3 miles a day, and sometimes more on the weekends. I'm down about 60lbs and that's basically the only purposeful exercise I've done. I bring tennis shoes to work and walk a mile on my lunch break (I've gotten a lot…
  • Went shopping this weekend and I now fit into size 12 pants! Added bonus: Found size 12 work pants at the secondhand store for $8!
  • Milk Chocolate Cadbury Mini Eggs Dark chocolate covered pretzel crisps Anything that gets my sweet tooth involved is dangerous to begin with, but with those two I have no chance of stopping!
  • Starting weight - 265lbs FebSW -212.2 FebGW - 207.2 UltimateGW - 165lbs 02/02 - 212.2 02/09 - 210.3 02/16 - 210.7 02/23 - 206.7 02/28 - Total loss: 5.5lbs Had a nice loss this past week after a week of stagnating. We'll see if I can keep it off for the end of the month!
  • I totally understand this! I was just joking with my husband the other day that my butt has a butt because the lose skin has gathered right below it. It's especially noticeable while wearing stretchy spandex workout pants. I just figure they're my victory flags for losing all that weight!
  • I went out and bought a new temporary ring set because my wedding ring is officially not staying on at all and I don't want to lose it. Was a little bittersweet putting it away, but I know that once I reach my goal weight I can always get it resized!
  • Starting weight - 265lbs FebSW -212.2 FebGW - 207.2 UltimateGW - 165lbs 02/02 - 212.2 02/09 - 210.3 02/16 - 02/23 - 02/28 - Total loss: 1.9lbs I always lose the most at the beginning of the month due to that TOM, so starting off strong so far! We'll see how the rest of the month goes. Great work to all of you!!
  • Not just you at all! I have issues with doors. I used to use my hips to help push doors open, especially when I had things in my hands. Now muscle memory takes over and I end up almost falling into the doors because my hips aren't nearly as close to the door as they used to be... oops.
  • Since you work in the medical field, your medical supply company should carry a biological odor eliminator (We use the brand M9 but there are others out there). See if you can invest in some for the office. That stuff is like MAGIC. We use it in patient rooms with particularly nasty smells. My hospital only uses the…
  • I'm a huge ice cream fan, and I impulsively picked up one of these pints the other day. I've never seen it before, so I'm assuming it's one of their newer flavors. It did not disappoint - SO rich and creamy, and the ganache swirl was just divine. However, the calories in it just about blew me away. Over 1300 calories for…
  • I love Blue Bunny mini swirls ice cream cones. The caramel flavor is 140 calories for a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone with caramel in the middle. They're big enough to be satisfying, they taste extremely indulgent, but they don't break the calorie bank!
  • Hello everyone! I'm an active gamer girl as well. I'm big into WoW, but I'll play just about anything. I'm a book nerd and I love my Switch and anything Nintendo as well. I started on MFP about 7 months ago and I've gone from 265lbs down to 212lbs. I'm still working on it and have a ways to go, so I'm always looking for…
  • I passed the CEO at my work in the hallway. He commented, "I know you won't eat it, but there's birthday cake in the break room if you want it!" I couldn't help but smile that my reputation precedes me. I've had a surprising amount of support from my coworkers, but it's always nice to know that they recognize what I'm…
  • I'm in! Starting weight - 265lbs FebSW - FebGW - UltimateGW - 165lbs 02/02 - 02/09 - 02/16 - 02/23 - 02/28 - Total loss: 0lbs
  • I'm a big water and coffee drinker, plus I love tea (Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice is my favorite). I drink a diet soda or two every week. Lately I've been having Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper or Diet Vanilla Coke.
  • Over 50lbs lost - Things have definitely slimmed down a bit down there, but I'm with @cheryldumais - saggy skin is everywhere, even in the area around your ladydungeon. That's not to say that it doesn't come with other benefits though...
  • Potatoes. I always thought they were the enemy in dieting, but I'm always surprised how few calories are in a whole potato compared to how filling they are. I love making a taco baked potato with ground turkey taco meat, sour cream, tomatoes, salsa, and whatever taco toppings I have around the house. They're so filling and…
  • So I know everyone has mentioned how cold they get... but I've noticed that I get cold in weird places. I was laying in bed the other night and my knees were cold. I think I've gotten used to my feet being chilly, but my knees were a new one! Another little revelation this week - I didn't know there was such a thing as…
  • I went to a trampoline fitness class this week. I haven't been in a gym of any kind in years, but I had SO much fun I think I'm going to sign up for weekly classes. Never in a million years did I think I would be someone looking forward to a fitness class!
  • I was sweeping in the garage yesterday when a neighbor I've never really spoken with came by and commented on my weight loss. She told me that I was looking great, and that she sees me walking the dog all the time and is impressed by my dedication! It came out of left field but it left me with a giant grin on my face!
  • I roast basically everything in the oven. Put a little olive oil on it, throw it in a super hot oven until it's a little crisp. Works for any kind of potatoes, squash, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, asparagus, onions, zucchini, carrots... whatever you have around! I like using garlic and balsamic vinegar on just about…
  • So while we're on the subject... I had a fleeting toilet thought last night that I figured I may as well bring up since we were all here anyways... For those of you who have lost a significant amount of weight, have you noticed that your "poo drop zone" in the toilet has changed? We have those fancy water-saving toilets at…
  • 5'10 here. Started at 265 and I'm currently down to 212lbs and counting! My ultimate goal weight is 165 because that would put me into a normal BMI category and 100lbs lost. I have my calories set to 2lbs lost per week and I'm at just over 1200 per day, but I add on and eat my exercise calories. I'm a big walker - when the…
