  • I have a good feeling I tore my meniscus. Not positive though, but I tore something! From what I've read it makes the most sense. So I will def start incorporating that once I get the okay from my doc (after I get to see one!) That makes sense. I used to do that when I did elliptical work. Now I do primarily weight…
  • I should have added that I am just coming back from a shoulder injury that I have been rehabbing. I didn't see an ortho for that because it seems the exercises I was doing were working to heal it, and took time off of upper body to avoid additional stress. SO, even though it seems to be back in check, I am fearful to re…
  • Wow that was so hard to get that edited to fit in everything I typed. An emoji kept making it not change!
  • I am in Houston and somehow we have faired really well. Our neighborhood at least in NW Houston. My husband is out rescuing people with some other guys with a boat and I am home watching the baby wishing I could do more :( This is terrible!
  • Heat up some apple cider vinegar in a jar or glass w dawn soap. Then cover with Saran Wrap and poke holes. This is the only thing I have found that works! Heating it up makes it stinky and attracts the flies!
  • Im very worried about flooding!
  • I'm in Houston so not the path but expecting flooding for sure. We have water and food stored in case of power going out. I lost my home and all belongings to hurricane Ike but that one came straight at us. Hope everyone stays safe! I'm hoping we keep our power
  • I love this show!
  • I love ground turkey with eggs. Obviously added stuff makes it even better and makes great leftov3ers. I add peppers, onions, and black beans. SO good. When I'm feeling fancy I top w avocado and salsa. NOMS I also love black beans and quinoa. Doesn't get much easier than that. Another go to is crock pot meals. Cuz like...…
  • I should add I started the month 111 before I left for vacation on Aug 3. Not sure body fat % probably 18-19%.
  • 5'3" Currently 112 I don't really have a goal weight. Originally it was pre baby weight (115-118) which I have hit. Now I am more focused on losing body fat and gaining muscle. So if my weight drops or rises, but visually like my progress - cool. My leanest bf% was 17%. I just got back from a 2 1/2 week vaycay and its…
  • 5'3" here and currently 113 after losing 55 lbs post pregnancy. I lift 4 times a week, do HIIT cardio 2 times a week, with one rest day. Currently counting macros for weight loss (though I have hit my goal so now mostly maintenance and am trying to gain muscle) and do intermittent fasting which helped w the last 5 lbs. I…

  • Try incorporating HIIT cardio twice a week instead of regular cardio. It works very well for me. Youtube has great examples of what you can do for HIIT cardio. I also started counting Macros and doing intermittent fasting to lose the last bit of belly fat. All of the above has helped a lot. I don't think you are eating too…
  • I just joined this group but I've been consistently weighing in around 116. My body fat got as low at 17% (I go weigh on an InBody scale every two weeks). I had an off week and a half (due to injury) where I also ate pretty poorly, and got up to 119. Today I weighed in at 112. The lowest I have seen since before baby. I…
  • Following! I am struggling with the same thing!
  • Some people have really great metabolisms that haven't betrayed them yet. Or are moderately active during the day enough to keep their metabolism spiked
  • I make a chicken chili. I use 3-4 chicken breasts, diced onion, garlic, with two cans of black beans, two cans of kidney beans, a can of corn, can of rotel (drain all cans - rinse beans), cook on low for 8 hours. I usually add chili powder, paprika, beef or chicken bouillon, and serve with chopped cilantro, diced…
  • Kaisafit is so inspiring!! And I'm a year ahead of you. I had my baby March 2016. But I'll send you an add :)
  • hi mama! I had one in March of 2016. I didn't even consider fitness until I was 6 months postpartum (just wasn't mentally ready yet). In late August 2016 I started my journey and derailed around the holidays, but finally hit my pre pregnancy weight in April of 2017 and have lost 57 lbs total since having my daughter. I am…
  • I need some new friends! Would love fellow mom friends, or anyone who does weight lifting.
  • I'm 5'3" and still nursing! (LO is 16 months now) Sup! Ill send you an add. I've done the 30 day shred before I got into weight lifting. I lost about 55 lbs post baby. Was rough! Definitely did not just fall off like people say it will breastfeeding. But I'm 33 so maybe that is why :)
  • Hey I'm in Houston too! Suburbs near Cypress
  • I should add I guess that I am 33, 5'3" 113 lbs and do mostly weight training with two HIIT cardio days. I used to do a 5 day workout split, but recently injured my rotator cuff, so now primarily work legs and core until my shoulder is healed. My goal is to be lean with muscle. 'Specially that boooootay
  • I would love to look like Nikki Blackketter. That is my Wonder Woman <3 <3 :* Fitness models on IG have changed my body image for the better.
  • You can incorporate HIIT cardio. To me it has made a difference in getting through a plateau and cleaning up my diet. I only do cardio two days a week, but when I do I make sure it's HIIT to get the most out of it. And also I think staggering calories each day is beneficial for me. It confuses my metabolism so it doesn't…
  • Hi! I am a mom too and lost over 55 lbs all while breastfeeding! My LO is 16 months, still nursing, and I did it mostly by cleaning up my diet, and LIFTING! Its way more fun than cardio so that is my advice :) Throw in some HIIT cardio for more effective weight loss IMO. How far postpartum are you? If you are at least 6…

  • Egg Frittatas are one of my FAVORITES! You can use anything you want in it. I typically use peppers, mushroom, sweet potato, spinach and onion. I also LOVE putting a head of cauliflower in a food processor, mixing with an egg and garlic salt, then frying like a hash brown. I serve it over spinach, and serve Canadian bacon…
