Nachos are possible when dieting. Crisp up a low-carb tortilla with vegetable spray in a frying pan. Add reduced fat cheese, black olives, fat free refried beans or lean hamburger, and lots of lettuce, tomatoes and those other things that grow out of the ground. A lighter approach but still delish.

Don't focus too much on the 100 lbs. Set yourself a smaller monthly goal of 8 pounds or weekly goal of 2 pounds. Or give yourself two years, and that's only a pound a week. I think a line needs to be drawn between "fat acceptance" and "fat promotion." We should all be valued as human beings regardless of our weight. But telling people it's fine to remain overweight if it's negatively impacting their health or, worse yet, encouraging them to gain if they're not underweight is irresponsible.…

The capri pants I wore to an antique show today kept slipping down while I was walking. They have an elastic band, so I never figured they'd become "loose" on me, but there ya have it. Guess I'll have to buy new ones for next summer, and that's FINE!
