Yeah, that makes sense. I agree, AT BEST it was very mishandled. At worst, I don't even want to think about a supervisor wanting to hurt their team but it happens all too often. I'd call her a witch but I'm not allowed as apparently the thread is now about persecution (and grammar errors). Sorry to the OP and I hope you're…

I've had the flu. For my personal experience the absolute worst of it lasts 3-5 days, the next couple weeks are recovery but I can handle that without the shot. That's my personal decision. I'm not asking permission or forgiveness. My doctor and I are on the same page so that matters more than what the internet thinks.

They are free to get their shots as they are high risk. I do not oppose it for others. I am an avid hand washer and don't often touch my face so that is the best way to avoid being sick in my personal experience. Others may have less of a tolerance to germs and should then get the shot.

I'm for them in theory. Three things stop me from getting them. First is I'm not 'high risk' meaning I can haev a flu for a few days and not be in serious condition. Second right now the CDC does a best guess on the strains that will likely hit in the flu season and their track record is under 50% accuracy. Third, in the…

Do you think she was telling you as a favor, so you'd know what people were saying behind your back? I'm just curious if her motivation was well intended and ruined it with horrible delivery. I'm not trying to protect her, I'm just curious if she did this stuff before being a jerk or if she really wanted to give you a…

ohhh, are we getting existential in here?

If you have bras with clasps in the back you can get smaller sizes then use extenders. They give you a few extra inches of space. That way as you lose you can remove the extenders and use the bra as is with the regular clasps. Search Target for bra extenders, they should be under $10.

I loved it until it became an average sitcom about the relationship issues. Still watch it. I feel I need to see it through whatever awful ending they come up with. Will skip the new show about young Sheldon. We know how the character turns out... seems pointless. But that's why I don't want to take on more shows since if…

Lol, at my age you just use the good stuff! Use it, enjoy it, tomorrow is not guaranteed!!!

Ugh, hated that Raymond show. I got rid of the dvr a few years ago so I tend to forget a show I like is on.
-
OH come on. I can't be the ONLY person left that doesn't watch GoT? It isn't something I think I'd like but more than that I don't think I want the commitment of a show like that. I've missed just about every popular tv series for that reason!

Until I started buying high end perfumes I had to reapply during the day. Now just once in the morning lasts all day. It seems more expensive since the bottle costs more but one bottle lasts me a really long time (I also keep it away from the light and heat too).

I adore people who think that taxpayer money should not be used by people on food stamps for things they personally disagree with. Go tell your State and Federal representatives that also use your taxpayer money for their lunches and cafeterias what to eat. effffff judgement of others.

I find being on birth control helps my depression. I get extra dark the days before my period and the pill helps me tremendously with that. I take Junel FE 1/20 for whatever that is worth. I was on another brand for like 20 years but they don't make them anymore so this is what was suggested. There is another brand my GYN…

been on it for a long long time, it actually helps my depression that hits right before my period. No negative issues but it will make your period less frequent over time which isn't a bad thing...but when you are mid-40s and you miss a couple periods you start to freak out so I wish someone told me that.....

I'm more of a dork (don't really game or do the sci-fi but have random interests that nobody seems to get). Also have 100+ to lose so add me too (that goes for any of you).

In the US there is a brand called Gold Bond that may be elsewhere too. They also makes an anti-friction stick and used to be a lot cheaper than the body glide brand. Also note the body glide brand has one 'for women' that is a LOT more money but is the same product so don't shop by gender. Years ago Band-Aid brand had an…

I guess I could also flowchart the differences. Maybe an excel spreadsheet with some filters. I feel so at home here. *sigh*

Awesome! I'm more of a dork in some ways and a geek in others over being a true nerd so I'll try to not embarrass you folks.

Any seats left at the table for a socially awkward dork?

notice no russia stories in the news suddenly......................all diversionary tactics and most americans buy it like dangling shiny things in front of a baby to distract it.

I did it a long long time ago. My main takeaway was accountability. I never logged before. The rest? Meh. The points thing was not for me, I like tracking real calories and macros here not 'points'. The meetings were kinda okay but then it basically was a bunch of fat people like me talking about being fat and how they…

Check with your own insurance, if you have any, if you need that doctor's referral. I'm in the States and my insurance through work lets me go directly and not through the main doctor. Then get a new doctor even if you can book the psychiatrist and nutritionist yourself. You know you need help, that doctor is a general…

I have a good fajita one. I also would recommend changing the chili powder and/or cayenne depending in your preference for heat. I would keep the cornstarch in it for fajitas but if you want to use it as a marinade before grilling and not in the sauce then probably ok to omit it. 1 TBL cornstarch 2 tsp chili powder (I tend…

Unless it's a diet where a movie studio pays me millions of dollars to be in a movie and hires me a trainer to get me into shape and a chef and nutritionist to make and plan my meals I'm probably not going to enjoy the 'hollywood diet'.

I'm glad we are so close in age. Staring down 50 is a totally different hurdle with this much to lose. I feel like if I don't get my act together by then, including being on maintenance for a while I'm afraid I never will.
-
I just started today. Add me too.

Yep, I'm sure I have depression too. I don't like the idea of taking meds so I haven't tried to deal with it medically. I know losing the weight won't help, but I guess fat and depressed is worse than fit and depressed. I can't imagine getting to 50 and still being this overweight. My physical self is already breaking down…
