My BMI is finally back in the 30's (actually 39.9) but considering it was 68.0 when i started all this 26months ago, its progress.

when you are starting out it always seems daunting, whether you have 1st to lose or 15st to lose. just take each day at a time, don't get downhearted on the weeks that the scales don't move....its a long term project... in theory a lifestyle change for the rest of your life.... i have lost just over 13st in about 26…

many people eat back half their exercise calories, some don't. looking at your pic, you probably don't have too much to lose, so not eating the calories the app suggests and not eating back any exercise calories probably isn't sensible or sustainable longterm. i'm sure more of the ladies on here have a better take on your…

its not healthy to eat too little, so the app won't show what you have eaten if it deems it to be too low. and normally gives you a message saying that you are eating too little. if you log exercise it adds those calories to the food page so you can eat them back if you want (basically)

Being weighed at a hospital appointment and weighing in at 456lbs (207kg) (32.6st), the next day my car broke down and i had to walk half mile to my workshop and had to stop 6 times to catch my breath!! and the final straw was a photo taken of me sideways sitting down!! ( if you look on my profile, pics/ comparison pics…

I think that the amount of weight to lose makes little difference to to each individual, as its probably just as daunting to all of us, (but i know what you mean ;) )..... you just need to get your mind around the fact that it will take months or years to lose 150lbs, i have currently lost 182lbs with another 80lb to go,…

welcome from the united kingdom- there are lots of great people and lots of info on here, its definately worth exploring the site. good luck with your weightloss. :)

if i get to the point that i have lost the 18st that i need to lose, (13st lost already), and if i win the lottery, i will get a full body lift!! but as the lottery win is unlikely, ( the weight loss is a given, naturally!! ;) ), i expect i will just buy compression clothing and get a weightloss Tattoo..... :D

clothes hide a multitude of sins (skins) . i started at 456lbs at 50yrs old, i'm 182lb down after 26months, and have wrinkles on my wrinkles. but its healthier having loose skin than the fat!. as the skin hollows out it will be easier to conceal.compression clothing is great. wear the skin as a badge of honour and…

hi mitch, walking is great exercise, and its free. even just short distances to begin with will help. if you are starting from a heavier weight, any movement and eating in a defecit will have the weight coming off. if you can cut out soda and sugary drinks in general it will help too. i started at 456lbs . losing weight is…

i found cutting things out totally has worked best for me-its been 25 months and over 12st lost - if you follow your plan as you state it- cutting out the junk and eating healthy in a calorie defecit you should see the results. good luck.

Age is only a number, CI and CO are only Numbers, but you have to be in the right mind set, you have to believe that you can do it and that you are GOING to do it.... for me mindset was key. If you are just starting out, log everything you eat and drink honestly, every little crumb, when you have had 4 slices of pizza…

i'll be 52 this year, and have been losing for about 23months now, started at 456lbs though and have lost 168lbs in that time (average about 1.8lbs a week) i'm 288lbs now and it seems to have slowed down a bit, but the truth is its a long term proposition.... if you think it took 50yrs to put it on so aiming to lose it…

My sister had a gastric bypass and lost 8st in a year, but she has put back on 3 st, mainly because she never suffered from the 'dumping' which meant she didn't curb her eating habits, however she has got her head around the eating properly and CICO, and is back on the right path now. I was going to have a bypass, but for…

I am already envious of the fact that you are a musician-( i can't play a note!!) and i wish i only had 40 -50lbs left to lose.... ( glass half empty or half full scenario?) I am fortunate that i have never suffered from depression, even when i weighed 456lbs,and to be honest i can't even imagine what it must be like for…
