if you really need to lose weight, then there aren't really any cons are there? loose skin seems to bug most people, and my a*se is decidedly boney now.! ... don't look for reasons not to lose it, just look at the positives when you have lost it. :)

my sister had the gastric bypass about 2 yrs ago and lost the 8st than she needed to lose,but in the last 6 months has gained back 3 stone. she is focused on losing it again now, buts its not an easy fix, you still have to work at maintaining it .

Now my belly doesn't stick out further than my feet i can read either!! i prefer digital, because you can swap between lbs or kgs easily if you want. my doctors weigh in kg but i tend to convert to st. and lbs..... :)

Although this won't work for everybody, when i was 32.5st 18months ago, my waist was 62" so i bought a pair of trouser that were 58" and have gone on like that, i'm 10st lighter and wearing 52" waist now, and have just ordered the 48" waist trousers!!! like i say it won't work for every body but it gives me something to…

i have lost 8" from my waist but have 2 or 3 pairs of jogging bottom, so just bought some elastic and re elasticated the waist bands making them fit again, having baggy clothes hides the progress, ready for the ultimate un veiling of the 'new you' ;)

How good it feels when someone you haven't seen for a year, stops dead in there tracks and says 'OMG you've lost so much weight'. and who new that sitting down could be so uncomfortable when you have no fat on your A**e :)

it took me 4 months to lose my 1st 50lbs but i started at 456lbs (32.5st), and in 18months have lost just over 140lbs, so averages out at about 1.8lbs a week. good luck on your journey, (mine continues)

i've lost 142lb in 18months, thats about 1.8lb a week, but you will get plateaux which are always discouraging, my longest plateux was 5 weeks.... as Detritus_1965 said in the above comment is the important thing is to have started the journey..good luck with yours, mine continues!!

superb job- you look fabulous. you are right about having to have the right mindset. i have lost 140lbs natually over the last 18months-( 7.5st of that was last 11 months) and thats only because i am solely focussed on it this time! well done again.
