Bahaha yep. I suspect tomorrow will be a rest day, and that works with my usual schedule. I actually want a good run, and I've shifted to productive training status for the first time in ages so...

I lost 20kg after years of yoyo dieting. Then the last 3 years have yoyoed again. I kept off the initial 20 (yay) but keep losing and gaining the same 5kg. It's annoying. I realise I've fallen into a binge/lose weight cycle. I can stick to MFP and lose weight for about 3 months, then I fall into a binge cycle where I binge…

The only macro I worry about is fibre - I take iron supplements and fine that I need a decent fibre intake to prevent side effects. I also try to get the recommended amount of protein, especially since I do a lot of running, but I don't stress over it. Other than that, I just worry about the calories.

Morning all Today is day 4 of following my watch. First was a 50 min base run, then a 36 min base run. Yesterday was supposed to be an interval run but I only managed the first interval - didn't leave enough space after breakfast and it nearly bounced. So last night I played indoor netball and that gave basically the same…

@swenson19 glad beary is OK. Exciting about the watch! Well had 2 days now. Listened to more of the podcast yesterday when driving to and from work at 2am lol. They actually got to the point this time! Talking about higher and lower brain. Lower brain makes the urges but has no control to enact the urges. Lower brain is…

Woo hoo well done @Tramboman

Yep @runsrunsruns it was that video. Given I'm now a month till I start my next HM build up, I'd do something a bit different! thats sad about the watch failing, though its one reason we love garmin, they keep going and going. I now have a fenix 6s and plan on keeping this one much longer than I had my other watchers. They…
-
@Tramboman that's an awesome pace! Good luck with the 5k, I love running in the rain especially when it's hot! @skippygirlsmomand @quilteryoyo it's a feature on most watches now. When you select run you can press up for options, and there is a "suggested run" option. Now I've done a suggested run, it's popping up…

Well i got through yesterday, and avoided the cravings. I listened to more of the podcast this morning. Typical self help, they spend 15 mins telling you about what they are going to tell you, and then the last 5 minutes finally telling you the point. Grrr. But again a couple of good nuggets. My binging is from habit. I…

Well since the HM has been postponed till October, I've decided to take a page out of the book of one of the YouTube channels I follow. I'm going to train everyday based on what my Garmin suggests. Today was 48 mins at base pace - 6:24 min/km. It was kinda fun! It's Saturday tomorrow. I'll let you know what the suggested…

@rheddmobile oh I'm so glad you are both OK. You really need a new year already. And yeah how on earth did he not see you! Make sure your husband gets his elbow checked out @swenson19 yeah im starting to worry a bit about my mental health. I know my anxiety it a bit up and down atm. Though it's not too bad. I've asked for…

@swenson19 watching the package. Its probably held up with customs. There is a 4 day backlog there atm apparently. Glad beary is being big daddy! Yes get your passports - though lord knows when our boarders will open. Probably be Christmas 2022 at this rate. @rheddmobile I am on ancestry. I really hope some of my half…

Thanks guys. I'm doing another HM in e weeks that I will probably just do virtually. I'll now build a base and work towards a sub 2hr Half for my run in October with @ContraryMaryMary
-
Half has been cancelled. I'm not disappointed. I am sad for others though and the organisers. I am sad to not have a weekend away. Damn you covid.
-
On reflection I don't think my intention is clear. And this post sounds awful! We have no community transmission of covid. So I hope our government goes hard early again because I don't want to go back into a full lockdown because the delta variant is so contagious. I don't want anyone getting covid.
-
Well there has been a covid scare in Wellington. Which means the government is considering putting Wellington into lockdown. Which will mean the HM won't go ahead. I feel for the organisers, this happened last year. But there is a part of me that's hopeful...

Hey all. I feel like Im just plodding along this week. I'm looking forward to going away this weekend. But I can't say I'm looking forward to the half. I'm actually fully prepared to DNS if the weather continues to do what the forecast (50km/hr winds). Frankly I run for fun. I don't NEED to do this half. Sure I'd like to,…

@skippygirlsmom woo hoo! I worked in video production as a production manager and video editor for about 7 years before doing radiography. I loved it. And hated it. I wish her all the best!
-
@shanaber good luck with the MRI. Well one good thing about the dodgy guy is its forced me to get my bike out again. Its cold atm (middle of winter) and so far it's not too bad but haven't had much wind yet. One drawback, I have one very steep hill I go down and up each way. Tonight I was just so tired after work I ended…

Thanks guys. I had a conversation with a lady at work who basically said the exact same thing. It's reassuring to know I'm not alone. I'm confident DH knows he was in the wrong. He is a man of actions not words. Last night he got pizza for dinner and made a point of telling the kids it was for me because he thought I might…
-
Sorry guys, I think I confused you all. Race isn't for another week! But it was 10 year ago today I ran my first ever half, on the same course. Hence all the preparation. Forecast is now for gale force winds.
-
Hey all. Am still here hugging and liking as I go. Been a stressful couple of days. But still managing to run. Well sort of. I skipped Wednesday cause I was so tired. Today was 20 mins at race pace. It was a beautiful clear calm morning. My run was wonderful. I felt like I could have gone for ages. Then I checked the…

@quilteryoyo glad you had a good day
-
Thanks guys. I feel like a huge weight off me today, knowing I wasn't going to be seeing him again. I didn't realise how much anxiety I was feeling. I kinda blew up at DH this morning because he made a comment to me: he "couldn't understand why I would get myself into that position". Well as someone who had been abused as…

@shanaber I'm glad you have some power in it, that's a good sign! Yeah thats annoying about the PM. @swenson19 our Leo is always chasing birds. He's good at catching sparrows, fine no issue with that. We have a few Kereru nesting in our tree. They are native wood pigeons and are a protected bird. They are quite large. Well…
-
Hope the MRI comes quick. I don't do US so hopefully there is a good reason for doing just the bruise. Do you still have power? What I mean is can you do a bicep curl? That's an important test to see if just a tear or full pull off of bone (which is what I'd be most worried about)
-
@shanaber I hope the Ultrasound goes well, I'm really worried about you and your arm! Australia is notorious for having all the creatures that are deadly, snakes, spiders, kangaroos lol. Our most deadly creature is... Actually we don't have anything deadly. At all. And no one gets used to earthquakes. We hade a big one in…

I'm o. 16.70 I haven't noticed any issues but I run on the road in the middle of a suburb so probably why I haven't had an issue. I've noticed a few odd paces from time to time, usually at the beginning of a lap, so fingers crossed I'm OK. Maybe I need to go on trails to test it out...
-
Oh no, I have a fenix 6s Pro.... I will make sure I don't download the latest firmware...

Bahaha I'm ah I'm fine thanks! Unless they are candy. We have snake candy here they are yummy
