That's awesome. I plan on finishing September out with zero. This will be two months in a row for me. I have done a month of abstinence here or there before, but it's been several years since I have done two months in a row! I plan on abstaining for most of October as well. I may have a drink or two (birthday coming up)…

Hang in there. Is there stuff going on that's causing the cravings? Go for a walk or do something to distract yourself.

It took a few weeks for me to start losing when I gave up the wine. Are you drinking water? Are you eating within your calories? Are you eating too much? Too little? Are you working out and changing things up? Your body is healing itself and sometimes these things take time. I plateaued from mid-May to mid-August, and I…

Saying I don’t instead if I can’t has helped me with both drinking and food choices. Giving yourself the power in the choice is helpful. It’s not about deprivation or dieting but decisions for a healthy lifestyle in line with what your goals are.

That's awesome!!! I have used an excel spreadsheet for the past few years and I have green when I have zero, yellow when I drink moderately and red when I drink too much (in my opinion). The colors, dates and history help me see trends, problems and help me stay motivated to improve or make changes. I now track my…

You could start with a pro and cons list for yourself....what do you get from drinking or why do you want to cut back/reduce. Sometimes lists are really helpful. Lots of good articles on Pinterest about 30 day alcohol challenges too.

Each time you make those decisions, you get a little stronger :) That's awesome! I was always turning to wine to deal with the chronic stress in my life, and these last couple of months has helped me to focus on being healthier and not turn to wine or self-medication as I call it. I'm ALWAYS going to have a lot of ongoing…

I’m in for October. I had zero in August and plan on finishing out September with zero. I will caveat that I may end up having a drink or two toward the end of October as I have a milestone birthday coming up. However, I’m hoping I won’t even want the drinks when the day gets here.

I was tempted today.... I have some stuff going on. But we are so close to being done with September so I didn’t give in. My eating has been off this week so I think part of the faulty logic was “well you are already over anyway and you got stuff going on.” But I didn’t give in. I don’t want to start over at day 1 again…

I've been tracking my drinking for the past four years. And yesterday marked 60 days for me alcohol free. My records had been 55 days previously and 59 days. I had a few stints of 30 days in there as well. Previously, I would have had a goal in mind, and then would have gone out on day 60 or 61 and had my bottle of…
