  • Good for you for being stable if that is the weight you want to maintain at? And I hear you with the snacking. I have always wondered if my body senses the oncoming winter and tries to get my weight up for hibernating! Anyway, you are not alone...

  • Today was another good day. I think September is giving me a recharge. Isn't it funny that we are so ingrained after our years in school that September brings a new start even though it has been decades since we actually "went back to school"? Anyway, I'll take it to get back on track.
  • I ended up a little over on calories yesterday from sharing a bottle of anniversary champagne. And we didn't ended up watching a movie because my husband surprised me with a dance playlist he had made so we moved the furniture in the living room and danced the night away. It was lovely. I started today with a chest session…
  • Yesterday I ended up going over on my calories :( but instead of giving up and blowing the whole day, I continued to log it all :) It wasn't pretty but it is an improvement from last month when I would have just pretended it wasn't happening. At least this way it is in my face. Today is our 36th wedding anniversary. We're…
  • I am still wrapping my head around it being SEPTEMBER!! Summer (such as it was) was far too short and it is certainly feeling like autumn now. But I have always said my favourite season is autumn and I intend to embrace it and get myself back on track. I am 61, live in rural NE Alberta with my husband and cat, basically…
  • The wheels really came off in August. It is the first month since March where I weighed more at the end of the month than I did at the beginning. Too much emotional eating and stress. So I am looking forward to turning the page on August and making September better.

  • @Terytha Chibi is very cool! Do you get to dress in appropriate style as well? I'm visualizing Japanese/anime?
  • Today was a really good day at the gym. For the first time since coming back post-COVID I hit a new PR. I lifted 175# on the rack which is actually more than I weigh now so that was pretty exciting. It is a lot of fun to feel my muscles getting stronger and see the changes in the way my body moves.
  • @ells_runs You have so much on your plate! Virtual hugs going out to you as you work your way through it all. And somehow I believe as I read the determination in your voice that you will find the way through. Just know we'll all be pulling for you!

  • August has been a very trying month so far. I have been in a major funk and I have fallen out of logging. The old brain tricked me into thinking I could do it on my own for a little bit but today's weigh-in totally disproved that myth!! So this is where I draw a line in the sand and make tomorrow better than today. I have…

  • Sorry I have been AWOL this week. Monday evening we had to say goodbye to one of our beloved 18 year old cats and then we ended up having to deal with a family situation that has arisen for another couple days. Add in 16 hours in the car & truck and the week has simply vanished. But I have been being careful with what I…

  • Wow, did I speak too soon! We got slammed by rain and hail last night from midnight to 1 am along with very intense lightning and thunder. All very interesting from inside a camping trailer! But at least it doesn't look like any real damage to speak of in the morning light. To all my fellow Canadians that get to celebrate…
  • It's been pretty warm but tonight it brewed up one of those giant prairie thunderstorms that you can see from miles away and watch it coming. And while we've had lots of lightning and thunder so far it hasn't been too much rain. I managed to get XBX in early and had a short walk before the storm hit. Also was good for food…
  • Before I set August goals, I need to look back at July: Start weight 176.4 and end weight 171.2 for an average loss of 1 lb/wk. Not quite the 1.5 I’m set up for but I had one really bad snack attack week last month, which I need to work to avoid in August. Tracker goals were: #1 Log everything and stay within +/- 50…
  • CG here on an acreage in rural NE Alberta. I’m 61, married and basically retired. Over the years I let everyone else’s priorities take precedence over my health, hence did not find time for exercise or weight loss. When I was 59 I decided that had to change and I started strength training with a personal trainer which had…
  • Friday and Saturday ended up being good days, both for food intake and exercise - both days I did XBX and got in a nice evening walk. So good-bye to July and on to August! I truly do not know where the time goes...
  • @jugar Hugs to your daughter. @Terytha Hugs to you as well. Life has always given us these rocks to climb over but in these strange times they all feel like mountains.

  • @SMcFall0215 So glad to hear about the family's COVID test results. No wonder you didn't feel on top of your game! But the past has passed. You can't change it so just let it go. But you can (and will :)) be able to control today and tomorrow... Yesterday's supper turned out better than I had anticipated. I was over on my…
  • Happy birthday! @Stefbomb2020 And congrats on the new dress! I bet that felt great!
  • Welcome @thinfairy2020 ! Yesterday was good. I stuck to the food plan and managed to get a good walk in. And I have been able to hit the computer and get some of my bookkeeping caught up while I am isolating in the campground. Today I am starting back with the XBX program for exercise. I find it easy to use when I'm away…
  • Welcome @Pearl4686 I'm looking forward to getting to know you as we share this journey. Interesting that you are in the mental health field. I was having a conversation the other day about the implications of COVID-19 on mental health and the huge opportunities for research projects that it will create.
  • Way to go @Stefbomb2020 , @Gidgitgoescrazy & @Terytha !!! And now on to a new week. Saturday was a busy day getting packed up and Sunday was 8 hours in the truck. Sadly food was over both days. I am terrible for snacking in the vehicle on road trips so I planned ahead and brought a lot of fruit instead of chips and junk…
  • I just realized I never reported back in last night. Yesterday my eating was on target and I had a chest session at the gym followed by a massage which loosened everything up. I am carrying a ridiculous amount of tension in my neck and shoulders which is causing a lot of tightness and pain in my upper arms. But it feels a…
  • PW 172.4 CW 173.4 :( I had a few bad eating days so probably not a great surprise. But I also had a body scan at the gym this morning and I increased muscle mass by 1.7 lb from 2 weeks ago so maybe that is part of it as well...
