My favorite snack is a hard boiled egg. It's low calorie, low carb, has plenty of protein, and knocks down my hunger.

Former bar manager here. Not so much calorie related as safety related. First off, pace yourself. Try not to consume more than 1 drink per hour. Have a glass of water between each drink to help pace yourself. Try to stay away from shots, especially multiple shots. . .they'll mess you up fast. Have some food or an appetizer…

I also have my calories set around 1500 and have an open diary. Feel free to add me.

When logging in a cooked combination of items, I break down the meal into it's individual components. For instance, I had an omelet for breakfast. If I look up 'omelet', there's omelets listed from 20 calories to 500 calories. That doesn't help me. I log it per item I used: 2 eggs, 2 egg whites, 1 oz cheese, 1/2 tomato, 1…

A piece of fruit like an apple, pear, orange, etc. or hard boiled eggs. Either one can be picked up easily at a supermarket or convenience store.

If I eat it, I track it.

Like you, I don't feel comfortable discussing my weight loss program. The only person who's aware of what I'm doing is my wife. A few people have noticed that I've lost weight. When they make a comment like, "You look like you've lost weight." I just say "Oh, ok'' and let it go. Sometimes they're just saying that as an add…

Scrambled eggs & egg whites topped with homemade Pico de Gallo/Salsa.

Former pizza place manager here. At most pizza places, especially the chains, the delivery fee goes to the house, not the driver. Most drivers, like waitstaff, are paid less than minimum wage and are expected to make up the difference in tips, plus paying for their own gas. A suggested tip is 15% - 20% or at least a couple…

What they really cause is true happiness, cosmic bliss! Enjoy them to their fullest!

Nobody ever got fat by eating an extra orange. That being said, fit it into your daily calorie intake.
-
Protein helps satiate hunger. I often have a hard boiled egg or a couple ounces of lunch meat in the evening if my hunger acts up. This usually knocks down my night time hunger.

When I would sit down, my belt had been getting folded over by my belly fat. This week, that stopped happening.

That's the beauty of MFP. You can find the nutritional value of either cooked or uncooked meat, and track accordingly.
-
If you want accuracy, weigh the cooked pieces you think you're going to eat. After eating, weigh the bones, skin and half-eaten pieces that are left. Subtract the ending weight from the starting weight.

I used WW many years ago with success. For a beginner, if you know nothing about food, calories and macros, it's a safe place to start. Once you understand more about calories and macros, MFP is a much better program because it lets you adjust your macros and calories to what works for you. Many people here on MFP have…

Looking forward to winter. Here in Phoenix that means unplugging the treadmill and walking or hiking outside.

Lost 23. 82 to go. Add me.

THIS!!! This is the magic key. This is the exactly what people should be doing to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle.
-
At least a gallon per day. More when I'm outdoors in the Phoenix sun.

I buy this along with their bag salads. 2/3 bag of salad, big handful of shredded cabbage, some protein, low calorie salad dressing and I have a big salad that is not only low in calories but keeps me full for many hours.

Goodwill is your best friend on the way down. There are a number of them in your area. Check them out.

Eggs, fat free cottage cheese, lunch meat, beef jerky.

Before work I have eggs and egg whites. Sometimes fried. Sometimes scrambled with vegetables. Sometimes hard boiled if I'm in a hurry. Starting tomorrow, fried eggs & egg whites topped with a fresh batch of homemade pico de gallo. Can't wait!

No. Taking in more calories than you're using is the issue. Cut your calorie intake.

Since I walk outside, 140 bpm is a bit fast for me. I went through some of my music and set-up a 3 hour playlist that averages around 125 bpm. This keeps me going on my hour long walks every other day.
-
I have 1 1/2 - 2 cups in the morning before I go for an hour walk. It gives me a boost.

Not my pain, but my wife's. . . I'm snoring much less.
